About this property

West Beach - Newly Remodeled 4 Bedroom Gulf-front Beachhouse on Quiet West End o

West Beach is a great four-bedroom beachhouse located right on the sandy Gulf of Mexico Beach, with direct Gulf views from nearly every room. There are no streets to cross, no houses between you and the water, this house is only a few steps from the shore.

This Dauphin Island beach home was just completely remodeled by its new Owner, and everything is new throughout. As with all of our beach houses and beach condos, the kitchen is fully equipped and outfitted with everything you will need for your stay, and all linens, towels etc are provided. Bring Flip-flops, fishing poles and suntan lotion!

Pets are welcome, with prior written permission.

Property was directly on the beach, back deck overlooked the ocean and West End Public Beach. The overall cleanliness was ok, we did come across quite a few dishes that still had dried food and/or grease on them. Beds were comfortable. Wifi wasn't working during our stay but was not a big deal for us as it helped us all unplug and be more present. Our dogs enjoyed the big living room and kitchen area to run around in. Overall, we would stay here again.

Thank you for your feedback! We are so glad you enjoyed the beachfront location, beautiful views, comfortable beds, and spacious living areas. It’s also great to hear the WiFi hiccup turned into an opportunity for everyone to unplug and enjoy more time together. We apologize for the dishes that did not meet our cleanliness standards and have shared your comments with our team. We truly appreciate you choosing to stay with us and are especially happy to hear that you and your four-legged family members would return. We look forward to welcoming you back!

The property was amazing. Sitting on the deck looking out at the ocean. The house is so close to the water it gives you the feeling of being on a cruise ship without all the people. We saw Dolphins every day of our stay. It was definitely peaceful and is what we needed to relax from our to fast paced busy life.
Pictures are views from the deck.

The view from the deck was amazing right on the water. The deck was also great for the dogs they loved it. Beach access was very convenient, and close by. Fishing was great from the property as well. The house was very clean, and had everything we needed. Definitely would recommend to anyone for there next stay.

Excellent location on the beach. Well stocked kitchen for cooking. Rooms were clean. Mattress felt dated and too soft, not supportive. Our car got stuck in the sand in front of the house so beware of where you park. Seating on the porch was very limited.

The kitchen counters were nasty when we got there! Rugs were full of sand! Dishwasher clogged the entire time we were there and the washing machine only works when it wants to! Also missing a rail slat on the back deck! Very dangerous! Other than that everything was good!

This home is directly on the water with the most beautiful views! The home is represented very well on line. We walked in and it was exactly what we expected. The water breaks against the wall and is quite loud but that didn’t bother us. We loved it! The additional VRBO fees were pretty high. You just need to pay attention and know what you are paying! We absolutely loved it and would recommend this home to anyone!!

Great place right on the Gulf. House was clean and well laid out. We had a great time. Only issue was the lack of an internet connection. 5G cell phone access compensated somewhat. Dish tv worked fine.

Great time on Dauphin Island

This property was perfect for my family! We had 4 young children (all 5 and under), two sets of parents and me (grandma). We loved that the back deck was completely enclosed with only access from the house. It was a great safe place to hangout with the children and watch the sunsets and the dolphins swim by. We enjoyed the beach and the local aquarium! It was a wonderful time spent together with my grown children and grandchildren. The kitchen was well appointed, even came with a blender for smoothies and pina coladas! Definitely will rent this house again!

Fantastic location

Property was clean, and as described. Location on west end was fantastic! We especially loved the back deck and dolphins swimming by every morning. It was nice that the back deck didn't have any access other than through the house, because our dogs were able to enjoy lounging on the deck with us. Our kids loved the themed bedrooms. Being critical, the grill and dishwasher racks were rusted out and needing to be replaced, and a better way to rinse sand off and not track it into the house would have been helpful. Overall, not an issue that would keep us from choosing this property again. Thanks for a wonderful stay!

Unforgettable!!

We absolutely enjoyed our stay!!! It’s amazing to feel the waves as they hit the seawall and the sound is so relaxing. We loved fishing off the seawall at night. Being so far out in the ocean, is a whole different beach experience!! We will definitely be back!!! Thank you for an amazing trip. The only problem we had was the dishwasher wouldn’t work (could have been operator error) and the master shower would drain super slow. Neither issue would deter us from renting it again!!

Awesome family stress free vacay!!

We really enjoyed our stay!! The only suggestions I could give would be that some sort of walkway be made from the steps to the drive to keep from bringing half of the beach with you to your vehicle. Also I noticed on some of the other houses on the road a lift to carry the luggage. That would be really helpful since those steps are a beast when you have to make multiple trips with luggage. The only other thing is that the air conditioner had a hard time keeping the SW bed rooms cool so maybe some oscillating fans in those rooms would be helpful. All of that being said we are already planning next years trip back and can’t wait!!! Thanks so much for being wonderful host!!
