Great House and Location
Loved the house and it was a great location for old town Mesillia. The house was very clean and well equipped for a long stay. We were only there for 5 days but had everything we needed and in a very quiet neighborhood. This was the first time we had rented a vacation house from owner and we were very pleased.
Short walk to plaza and restaurants, nice yard for dog, quiet neighborhood.
We will return!!

Liked: Cleanliness, amenities, property conditions & facilities, communication
This was the perfect little place to stay with our dog. It was quiet and had a place I could run him outside.
It was very clean with plenty of towels. Property manager was very easy to get a hold of for communication.
I only wish the bed had been a little bit bigger.
Very private. Walking to Mesilla Plaza was an important feature for us. The property was well kept. Outdoor portal very inviting. It will be especially helpful as weather warms up. Casita was well appointed and yes charming. Everything we needed was there. Would highly recommend and hope to return!
This property did not disappoint.
What a cute little home for a couple. Landscape is well maintained with a lawn around half of the house. We decided not to bring our fur baby which turned out good. Although the lawn was great, no fence.
The bed was so soft-slept so well and that tub...AMAZING!!!

better than a hotel
we were in town to visit family and decided to try a private residence instead of a hotel for our stay. we found the experience and more specifically 'the casita' to be an improvement. privacy and amenities were excellent, the house was clean and quiet and met our needs. we plan to use this property again if available. contact with the owners was made just prior to our arrival and the directions to the property and access was provided in a timely manner.
we enjoyed the experience very much.

Hi Julius, the homeowner was surprised to read your review, as they are accustomed to providing 5-star experiences, and would like to clarify the following:
- Guests can have confidence in our property and the area. The casita is professionally sprayed for bugs twice a year and has been sprayed in October. Rest assured, we've never received any complaints from previous guests about spiders and we've had a guest there for 40 nights in September and October with no similar reports.
- As we value the cleanliness of our home, we guarantee that our cleaning team is very thorough. Given the recent stay of a guest who left the home in disarray just before 12/03, our team took extra measures to ensure a meticulous cleaning process.
- Communication is important to us and we maintain consistent availability. Bringing any concerns to our attention during your stay would have allowed us to address them immediately.
We truly do all we can to make the best possible experience, and we look forward to this property hosting many satisfied guests.
We make a long trip from Santa Fe, to Las Cruces to Carlsbad at least once a year, to see friends and family. This casita was perfect for my husband and I, and our dog. I do wish there had been a fence but the yard was nice. The best thing about the casita was the large wrap-around tiled porch. Great for evening relaxing. Casita had a small well-equiped eat-in kitchen, and nice living room with sofa & chair and TV. Bed was comfortable and the size of the bedroom expansive enough to accommodate all of our suitcases. Clawfoot tub and shower were cute. Nice to have washer and dryer since we had been on the road several days. Parking was excellent, and dual areas to access the casita made it easy to pack and unpack. Hostess was very helpful when we didn't receive an email about checkin and we quickly were able to move in and get settled.

Sweet casita in Mesilla
The casita was clean, quiet, and cozy and within walking distance to the Plaza in Mesilla. There were plenty of clean towels and the washer and dryer were convenient.
Although the bed was too soft for our preference, we appreciated bedside tables on both sides of the bed.
Wifi enabled us to watch movies on our computers since there were no instructions for using the tv for streaming.
The casita would be perfect for those who mostly wish to eat out since there was very little space available for our food supplies. Although there were utensils, the knives were poor quality and the Keurig coffeemaker wasn’t working.
But overall, the casita was comfortable and convenient.
Wonderfully appointed casita, great veranda. Perfect if you want to spend time in Mesilla, walking distance to plaza and restaurants. 30 minutes from Organ Mountains NM and great hikes. We would definitely stay here again.
Spent two nights while in the Las Cruces area. We arrived to find a great little hideaway from the hustle and bustle of town and very close to Mesilla Plaza. Perfect place for a single person and a couple. We had a very pleasant stay and can't wait to come here again when we visit our kid at NMSU. Thank you for a great place to cool off and rest our heads!
The casita was easy to find and had plenty of space to park. It felt private and there was a fence/wall between neighbors which were quiet. Cute local decor and comfortable. Plenty of hot water and shower pressure was good. Very clean house. Easy short walk to the local town center of Mesilla.
This wonderful little house is the perfect way to feel like part of the neighborhood! The casita is exactly the right size and filled with all the sweet details of a loved home. We spent mornings on the porches and evenings walking the neighborhood to the town square. The kitchen was fully stocked and had morning sunlight coming through the window. The bathroom's clawfoot tub was a pleasure. The bedroom comfortable; great bed and linens, a lovely rocking chair, good reading lights.
For this woman from the south, it was wonderful to experience this area and it's very distinctive style!
We had a wonderful stay. The house was very clean and well stocked. My pups loved the yard space. The area was very nice with coffee/dining places nearby. We went to Andele’s twice during our stay we loved it so much.

Wonderful retreat!
This charming casita is a wonderful and quiet location. Very close to the plaza. The yard was perfect for our dogs and the house was incredibly clean and comfortable. We will definitely stay here again.
A Good morning We, my husband myself, and two dogs stayed in your casita this past weekend. It was a wonderful stay! We fell in love with the casita. It was so comfy, clean and well stocked. At some later date we would love to return for a longer stay. We did not find a sofa cover for the dogs, but we had taken one of our own. I wasn’t sure if we were to wash bedding and towels , so we did launder the towels but not the bedding. We were on our way when I remembered that I hadn’t removed the towels from the dryer. I did leave a message for Ms Arellano informing her of the towels.
Chris
This Casita is a sweet find. Tucked away deep into Old Mesilla with lots of charm. We walked all around the Plaza, enjoyed the dog friendly restaurants, and lounged on our porch to watch the rain. The house had everything we needed for our two night stay and we would be happy to book here again in the future.
