Sunflower Resort took five solid years for us to step-by-step build. However, the idea to have such a place arose 35 years ago. The resort is the culmination of a dream to have an oasis for wellness and rejuvenation (the Methow Valley Wellness Center, in business for almost 30 years), and a lovely place for guests to stay on-site.
Over these three decades, Michael built many houses & studio garages, a boutique hotel, the Wellness Center, a tree house, and a custom yurt. He has always enjoyed consulting and advising novice builders and do-it-your-selfers, in their quest to self-build a home here. Sierra finished her naturopathic medicine training in 1997 and that same year, moved to the Methow and hung her shingle.
We love the satisfaction of working together on big projects that provide an entrepreneurial challenge. We are thrilled to have manifested this dream to have a place where people relax and enjoy family and friends. While at the Sunflower Resort, we want you to be completely comfortable, and happy to set aside your busy life pace to enjoy the valley's wonderful offerings.
These modern quiet, dog-and-kid-friendly, in-town homes, are close to the launch point for all outdoor activities-mountain biking, trail running, ice hockey, Nordic and downhill skiing, alpine hiking, golfing, river floating, and more.
Sunflower Resort is just a 10-minute walk to Winthrop's historic downtown.
While you are with us, you might want to attend a yoga or other movement class, in our beautiful facility, just steps away from your home. Perhaps schedule your first-ever facial, massage, pedicure, manicure, or acupuncture treatment.
We also have an expert hair color artist with a private salon room, Consider any offerings from our team of 25-year veteran healing arts practitioners of counseling, naturopathy, mindfulness counseling, and more.
We’d love to host your family, friends, or group event. Contact us to discuss this anytime.
