About this space
This 2 bedroom apartment is located in Downtown Hilo. It's just steps from the Hilo Farmers Market and many shops and restaurants.
The apartment in a building with a few full time tenants, as well as another short term rental units. The property is gated and we ask that everyone keeps gates closed and locked. The apartment is downtown, so there is downtown noise and activity. It's one flight of stairs to the front door. There is a outdoor area for you to enjoy the ocean and mountain views.

I do need to mention that this apartment is downtown with downtown life, parking is street parking only, and that no laundry on site, the laundromat is across the street (best laundromat ever !)

This unit is on the 2nd level, must walk up stairs to unit.
Great location for walking the town, but to see the Big Island attractions like the Volcano and Akaka Falls you will need a car.

Bugs are known to be everywhere in Hawaii. We do what we can with regular maintenance, but they are quick and catch rides with peoples bags and boxes, even in rental cars... and then they are in. We try hard to keep them out or get rid of them if they get in.

Apartment was located close to shops, farmers market, and restaurants. Check in instructions were clear. Apartment was quiet and our stay was perfect. Only suggestion would be to supply a couple more towels and pillows, but everything else was wonderful! Would stay here again.

We love staying at Apt L in downtown Hilo! Looking over to the Farmers Market from the deck. So many stores, shops, and restaurants within walking distance. This was the first time I heard a rooster in the mornings: I expected the city noises, not chickens! The neighbors were very kind, and Marlene is a responsive and considerate host. We will be back!

Helping my son settle into college UH Hilo

Everything was clean. Loved that it was close to the farmer’s market. A floor fan would be a good addition and better water pressure in the shower. Thank you Host for your quick responses!
