This home is gorgeous with breathtaking views of the lake.

Beautiful home and location. Very spacious for our large extended family. The porches are comfortable and inviting. The dock was very stable and secure. We enjoyed the paddle boarding and canoeing. Our favorite spot on this lovely lake.

Christmas 2020 in the mountains

Our stay was absolutely amazing, the newly built cabin had everything our family needed for our stay. The view was absolutely amazing on the lake, and there were plenty of room for the entire family. We had a beautiful white Christmas this year, waking up looking across the lake with the snow lying on the hills was almost like living in a postcard, absolutely beautiful. My family and I would definitely love to come back in the summer.

Lake Vacation

Our entire group enjoyed very much being on the water. We rented a boat and spent much time enjoying being out on the water. Our group enjoyed the porch (especially Grandma and Grandpa). We had a great week. The property is very rural and do not want to talk about the driveway!

Family Trip

We spent a week at this wonderful house. There were 10 of us from 9 - 77 years. There was plenty of space for everybody and the location was beautiful. We rented a boat from the local marina and enjoyed every day on the lake. Craig was incredibly helpful with an issue we had with our car and his head of maintenance, Mikey, went above and beyond.

We just spent the most wonderful week with friends in this beautiful home. Not only is this house stunning and fully equipped with everything you’ll need, it is beautifully decorated inside and out. "THE MOST PERFECT PLACE"

The hosts of this property were amazing! The home was immaculate and impeccably decorated. We couldn't believe how clean and beautifully this home is maintained. It was like no one else had ever stayed there. The views and surrounding area were spectacular. We will certainly stay here again soon. I just hope we are able to find available bookings. Our Favorite VRBO Rental!

This home is exactly that, a home. So beautiful and the owners attention to detail was apparent. It had everything that our two families needed to make it a memorable trip. We cooked gourmet meals every night, played games from the house, enjoyed the hot tub, explored the lake and even snuck in a movie night from the owners collection of DVDs. Craig was awesome and helpful. No bees in sight except where they were supposed to be (in nature). This is an annual trip and by far our favorite house. Thanks for having us!

Amazing Property with Phenomenal Views

We visited over the Thanksgiving holiday, truly enjoying this amazing property. The driveway can be steep, and a little scary, but we were provided a heads up and warning before arrival. The property was beautiful, with some of the best Lake Views you can imagine. Stunning floors, décor, and floorplan - this property and owner truly though of everything. We enjoyed taking the kayaks out on the water, smores by the fire pit, trivia games around the fire pit, and just absolute serenity of enjoying each others company and nature - with no distractions of the world outside our doors! Will definitely recommend this property to others

Awesome!! Disconnect for a Week!

Well from the moment we walked in you could tell someone took great care in making the place one you would remember! The music was softly playing in the master bedroom lighting was on and it was chilled off nicely! And the view! Incredible!!!! We really enjoyed our stay and the owner texted us and communicated with us all week about things we were curious or recommendations needed. It was like texting a friend and very quick to respond. The lake was great food at marina was awesome as well as the staff. they delivered the rental boat right to dock as well as our friday night pizza!! Anyways Def would stay again The Lutz Family

Perfect Family Getaway!

We just spent a relaxing, peaceful five days at Echo Lake Lodge with three generations. The owners have fabulous taste and have appointed each room with beautiful works of art - the quality of the furnishings is beyond any other cabin we have rented. The floor plan is great for a group or large family - lots of privacy with good gathering spaces. The house is equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay, including lots to do (games, kayaks/canoe, hot tub, grill, fire pit, etc.). The porches are amazing! The screened porch off the main bedroom has a fireplace and TV, and the other two levels of porches have lots of space and furnishings. We spent hours and hours just hanging out on the porches overlooking the lake, relaxing in the hot tub, and gathering around the gas fire pit. We are already making plans for our next visit to Lake Nantahala and Echo Lake Lodge!

Paradise!

Everything about our stay on Lake Nantahala was perfect! We can't say enough about how comfortable and well-stocked the lodge was. The large decks, screened porched with a fireplace, swinging bed, comfortable beds and furnishings, first-class amenities...We could go on and on! The lodge was clean and well designed, so our whole family could be together, or we could spread out and have our own space. And that's just the lodge! Lake Nantahala is absolutely beautiful and so peaceful. The kayaks and paddleboard were a hit for our family! So fun to paddle around the bend for ice cream at the marina/store. As stated by other reviews, the host was so helpful in every step of the process. So many helpful notes and instructions in the lodge to make everything go so smoothly! Definitely a new favorite get-away spot for our family!!

Spectacular Home and Property

Our family vacation at ECHO Lake was simply incredible! The home was perfect - immediately we could tell how much love and attention to detail was placed into the decoration of the house. Everything we could have wanted in a winter getaway as available to us - from the amazing fireplaces & hot tub to the cozy corners. The location of the house on the lake was perfect because all day you can gaze out from the porches and watch the sun sparkle like diamonds on the water. Really a naturalist's delight - hiking all over, fishing, skiing (1.5 hours north in Sapphire Valley), and clear fresh mountain air. We cannot thank the owners enough for all of their immediate assistance when we had questions and creating a truly amazing environment for our family to enjoy. Our children are dreaming of their next time there and we couldn't have asked or hoped for more! Thank you so much Craig and Andrea!!!

Life is better at the lake

We just returned home from a weeklong stay at this beautiful cabin on Nantahala Lake. The booking process with Evolve and communication prior to our arrival was excellent. The owner answered all of my logistical questions in advance of the trip and kept in touch throughout our stay to ensure a fun and memorable vacation. This cabin has EVERYTHING you need for a fun-filled stay: a fully-equipped kitchen, comfortable furnishings, lots of indoor and outdoor gathering areas, four fireplaces/fire pits (two gas), hot tub, game room, corn hole, hammock, floating dock with two kayaks and a paddleboard, outdoor deck with rocking chairs, and dozens of board games and DVDs for children and adults alike. The Bartram Trail (which connects to the Appalachian Trail) crosses the entrance road to the cabin, which made for an easily accessible day of hiking. In addition, we rented a boat for several days from the Lakes End Marina – just a two-minute boat ride from the cabin. The closest grocery store is an Ingles Market in the nearby city of Andrews (a 27-minute drive). A Walgreens pharmacy store is adjacent to Ingles. The drive in on Swan Drive is beautiful, but the driveway of the cabin is very steep. The website suggests a 4-wheel drive during the winter months, but I would suggest it at other times of the year as well – especially if you expect rain during your stay. If you are looking for a place to get away from it all, consider a stay at the luxurious Echo Lake Lodge.

Amazing Family Vacation

What a great stay! This house is beautiful, perfectly private, and packed with activities to do (inside the lodge and out). Our group of ten people ranged in ages from 1 to 75 and there was something for everyone! Our days were spent swimming, kayaking, paddle boarding, playing cards/games, and enjoying meals together. We found the lodge very clean. I was impressed with how well stocked it was with essentials (not all are like that) and the "extras" which made our stay even more enjoyable (two baby gates which were a Godsend with the 1yo). Craig was very responsive and helpful. We cant wait to visit again.

This was truly an amazing Thanksgiving away. The cabin was great! It clean and very accommodating for a family of 12. Pictures simply cannot capture how beautiful the view was. Such a peaceful home in the serenity of Nantahala!

We were visiting for my brother’s wedding and had such a lovely visit! The house easily accommodated our group of 7 (two small kids) and could have comfortably fit a handful more. The kitchen was well stocked, lounge areas very comfortable for nights hanging with the family, and bathrooms very suitable for all the work that goes into wedding prep :) The beds were very comfortable and everyone felt like they had great nights’ sleep—very needed after long travels from the West Coast! But perhaps above all of that was Craig’s communication and responsiveness. He was SO helpful and friendly. He truly made our trip. And make sure you listen to his advice on getting a 4WD for the steep gravel driveway! We went in early Nov and there was one drizzly day that our 2WD barely made it out. Thank you so much for the great stay!

We had the pleasure of staying at the most enchanting lakefront home in North Carolina, and it truly exceeded all our expectations. This lovely abode offered everything one could possibly wish for in a peaceful lakeside retreat, making it an unforgettable experience that left lasting family memories. The first thing that captured our hearts was the breathtaking view of the lake. The home's strategic location allowed us to wake up every morning to the most stunning sunrise over the serene waters. Whether we were enjoying a cup of coffee on the deck or simply lounging in the living room, the captivating lake views were a constant source of tranquility and joy. One of the highlights of the property was the relaxing hot tub. After a day of exploring the surrounding nature or engaging in water activities, sinking into the warm waters of the hot tub was an absolute treat. It was the perfect way to unwind and share stories under the twinkling stars. Another delightful feature was the porch swing bed. Swinging gently, lulled by the lake's gentle breeze, was an experience that felt like pure bliss. It quickly became our go-to spot for afternoon naps or quiet moments with a good book. The lakeside fire pit area was an absolute hit with our entire family. We spent evenings gathered around the crackling fire, toasting marshmallows and making s'mores—a classic camping activity elevated to a whole new level of comfort and relaxation. The private dock with a ladder provided endless fun for our family. We had a blast swimming and playing in the clear waters of the lake. It was the ideal place for various water activities, from swimming to fishing, adding an extra layer of excitement to our vacation. Stepping inside the home was like entering a dream. The interior was beautifully decorated, striking a perfect balance between rustic charm and modern comfort. The attention to detail in the decor made us feel right at home. The living spaces were spacious, inviting, and filled with natural light, ensuring we always felt comfortable and at ease. Above all, the memories we made in this lovely home will be cherished for a lifetime. It provided the perfect setting for quality time with our family, fostering a sense of togetherness and happiness. Great house for a family vacation!

Echo Lake Lodge works really well for a group like ours -- tweens, teens, parents, and grandparents! The kids loved the cozy loft upstairs, where the bunks are, and also the great hang-out game room on the ground floor. The adults basically lived on the deck with the beautiful lake view. Nice big comfortable open living area to accommodate everyone at meals and for socializing, but there were also great nooks and crannies for slipping away with a book or for a nap. Great dock with an umbrella. Very typical Lake Nantahala caveats for those who haven't visited the lake before: driveways are gravel and very steep, as are steps and paths down to the water, but our grandparent-generation did fine at this house. Loved having the kayaks and canoe available. Host was very responsive, helpful, and friendly! Would definitely visit again.

Excellent spot to rest and recharge!

We just completed our 3rd stay at this beautiful lakefront home and will definitely go back next year. The cove and dock are the perfect spot to relax; everyone enjoys the paddle board, canoe, and swimming in the clean water. The house works out well for our multi-generational group. The grandparents get the gorgeous master suite, and the kids and grandkids have the remaining four bedrooms to share. The kitchen is well equipped for cooking at home. One of our favorite spots is the large back deck with lots of rocking chairs. Lake Nantahala has been our favorite lake vacation destination for over 20 years, and this lovely home is allowing us to continue the family tradition.

We love hiking the nearby Appalachian Trail, boating on the lake, whitewater rafting the nearby Nantahala River and soaking in the hot tub after a long day of fun and adventure. Lake Nantahala is one of the best kept secrets in the Smokies. I've been coming to the area since I was 8yrs old and I'm still wonderstruck by the beauty, serenity and untarnished nature that surrounds the Nantahala National Forest.
