Property nice, property management horrible to say the least
When you rent this property, you’re dealing with a property management company—not the owner. As a licensed property manager myself, I can say this was the worst service I’ve experienced.The property is in a great location and very cute, but the management was awful. Three weeks prior, I asked about early check-in/late checkout due to flight times. They told me to ask the day before, making planning difficult. Even then, they gave no clear answer. We took a chance and checked in two hours early—cleaners were gone, but they never confirmed.The unit was freezing. The thermostat didn’t work. I messaged them asking how to turn on the heat, and they said the electric fireplace worked via a wall switch—which didn’t exist. Turns out, the windows were open and we froze the first night. They never fixed the issue, and later admitted they’d been giving instructions for a different unit.Parking was another mess—they said two SUVs would fit tandem. In reality, one small car barely fit, and our trunk hit the ceiling. Again, they confused our unit with another.For late checkout, I followed their rules and asked the day before—ignored. I had to message again early the next morning. Cleaners arrived at 10 anyway, even though they could have cleaned the upstairs unit first.This was the most high-maintenance, stressful VRBO I’ve ever stayed in. Unless they fire the management company, avoid it.
