The location next to Big Bend was convenient. Hearing the birds every morning and seeing wild burros one evening were great! The rooms are clean and comfortable, but did miss having a tv.
Overall, we enjoyed our stay! The property was clean, water pressure was good, the king bed was comfortable. The restaurant was closed when we stopped by for breakfast (they didn’t have a cook), there isn’t an ice machine, and no cell service. WiFi worked great and the night sky was amazing! Plus, we were very close to restaurants in Terlingua and Big Bend National Park. Overall, we enjoyed our stay.
We've just returned home from a five night stay at the Longhorn Ranch Motel for day trips into Big Bend National Park. It was a little bit of a daily drive to the park but the beautiful vistas made it enjoyable each day. We stayed in a simply furnished room, as advertized, including a mini fridge and a microwave. The beds were comfortable and the room stayed at a comfortable temperature. The towels were plush and large. The grounds were kept neat and clean. If we were to be out this way again, we would certainly consider staying here again! awcomfortable
My family of 4 stayed here for a couple of nights during our Big Bend trip. The location was great. Beds were comfortable. Loved sitting outside at night and watching the stars. We wish we would’ve brought food to grill on the pit. We enjoyed our stay.
The property was just as advertised. Simple, but clean...which given that we were in the area for a hiking trip in Big Bend, it was all we needed. The only recommendation I had was that the heater didn't work; (it was relatively pleasant at night so we didn't need it). Other than that, it met our needs.
Simple but efficient. This was perfect for us after a long day of hiking Big Bend to come back and get some sleep. Loved being within 20 minutes of the park.
If you expect an unpretentious, quiet ranch motel, with an onsite restaurant you will be pleased. If you expect a 3 star hotel, you might be disappointed. We took advantage of the quiet, dark location to look at the blood moon through our telescope. The restaurant was surprisingly good.

Big Bend overall experience
Needs bathroom maintenance and upgrade- leaky tioilet!, ac is old and loud, water has unpleasant taste. Love the convenience of onsite restaurant- good service and food. Outside surrounding is clean.
First time staying at a Vrbo. Property was away from everything which was good for stargazing. Did enjoy our stay as Big Bend was only about 30 minutes away and Study Butte / Terlingua were only 20 minutes away.
The rooms were clean and received daily maid service. There was a power outage on the last night (it was very windy), but power was restored quickly. It was a wonderful place to stay!
This was a great location to visiting Big Bend National Park. Rooms were clean and comfortable. No TVs, but we didn't need one.Challenging to find the location in the dark as Google Maps and Apple Maps both gave wrong locations. Just take it slow on Texas 118 and keep your eyes peeled. It's great not having big, bright lights so you can see the amazing stars.
The beds were really firm, however, we all had a great night sleep. To our surprise the beds were really comfortable.

We loved our room and the ambience of the hotel. Our room was perfect for organizing our backpacking stuff before big bend. Wifi was okay, water pressure and temp was great but height short for my 6 foot husband. We highly recommend the place for folks wanting to stay outside big bend NP.
Shocked, but not disappointed, that there was not a TV in the room.
Still 5 out of 5 stars.

Interesting Place
This is an interesting place. The first thing we saw when we got into our room was a 6" millepede. We dealt with that. The next interesting experience was the white powder all over the bathroom floor. Still not sure what that was about. We had planned on staying 5 nights, but left after 3. In that time we were never offered fresh towels or more coffee. Did I mention that the AC sounded like a truck idling?
