Bed and Biscuit Inn
Pet friendly !
Near Kingdom come park & Pine mtn.
This mountain home is located between Kingdom come state park and Pine mtn. Explore the beautiful mountains with breath taking views. Take a hike up to Bad branch falls or Little Shepherd trail while visiting. This pet themed house is set up for you and your fur family to enjoy. We provide crates, bowls and leashes for your dogs. The Inn is furnished with everything you need to feel like home. All of the bedrooms are located upstairs with doors accessing the parking lot. One bathroom is located downstairs and another one is located in the detached laundry house. ( Keep in mind this home would be difficult for elderly and children to navigate with all the steps both inside and out) I love the old, crooked, creaky floors and history of this house. It is a place that you can find comfort in bringing your fur family along for the adventure. History: I inherited the home from my parents who inherited it from my grand- parents. The top master bedroom use to be partridge post office, opened in 1940 by Madge Lewis. The original oil floors and the circles where the counter was found after pulling carpet up! My grandmother also put a little store in the top. She retired in 1974 and my dad, Bob Lewis built the store and post office next to the house. He ran the store up until he passed at the age of 87 then I inherited the property. I promised them that I would still keep it up so I decided to make it a short term rental.

We liked the place but it was farther out than we thought. The only thing we didn’t like was both bathrooms were downstairs. I didn’t realize that when I booked it.

As in description stated that bathrooms were both downstairs.
Felt like I was “home.” Great location for our family. Enjoyed being able to cook and have family dinner at the dining room table. Beautiful view of mountains and skies.
We stayed here while visiting with Jeritage Ministry. Kim was friendly, helpful, and responsive. Our little dog was welcomed and there were all sorts of items to help him, and us, feel at home. We will definitely choose to stay here again when we return to tje area.
This is our second time staying with Kim! We will never book anywhere else!!! She is absolutely wonderful, the home is as cute as a button! You’re close to everything in the area. (Please research where you are! This is the mountains not a metro!) We saw two baby bears, several deer and a million beautiful views. As a dog friendly property, you would never know!! It’s immaculate! This home is clean, this yard is clean, if you come KEEP IT THAT WAY!!! The rest of us who stay here love Kim, her legacy and her efforts to support local animals in shelters. We look after it like it’s ours too. It’s hard to have pet friendly spaces for our furkids, so when I find them like this, I always want to stress OUR job as renters to look after our pets! The locals are the sweetest! I was gifted some delicious maters this week!!! Be kind and culturally competent when you come. Life is slower here and folks aren’t in city mode.

This is the best review! You have explained it perfectly! Thank you!
This is the 2nd time we have stayed here. The location is good and the owner is great. Kim is very responsive. We had an issue with the temperature in the place and Kim addressed it quickly and attentively; and it was resolved. Even my dog was comfortable staying there. He usually barks when we leave him alone (crated), but he didn't while there.

I hope you continue to visit and bring your fur baby.
Beautiful views. Didn’t see any bears lol. We arrived after dark and had some trouble figuring out how to get in but the host was quick to respond. Make sure you know 2nd bathroom is in detached building outside. I missed that in the description. It was a nice place to stay really comfortable beds. Host set up play area at the bottom which was nice for the kids. Porch has a swing for relaxing. Veranda was where I spent a lot of time. I love the rocking chairs. Very peaceful.

Description clearly states bathroom two is in detached laundry room. It is few steps away and new shower. Shows picture of it as well. That is part of the nastalgic stay. Miners often had a separate place to shower before coming in the main house.
I was born in partridge and left for college. My parents ran the post office and grocery store for 48 years. I grew up in this house and inherited it when my parents passed. I updated it while still keeping some of the old original charm.
Why they chose this property
I enjoy coming home to visit the mountains. I like to go up to the park and over looks. The only thing I don’t enjoy about the area is the numerous amount of dogs that are abandoned and live on a chain all their life.
What makes this property unique
My property is unique because it’s the only one around there that allows pets. I’ve been rescuing dogs my whole life from down there. I joked with my dad that I would turn the store building into a shelter. I have many pets and I know how nice it is to bring them on my trips. I just want to provide that for other people visiting the area.
