Our house was a perfect getaway for the 4 of us. The location in the Galena Territory was in a very beautiful scenic area. We enjoyed Thunder Bay Falls and walking the paved path right by our house to and around the golf course. We even enjoyed games at the Owners Club. We did not use the inside pool at the Owners Club and outside pool was closed of course. All in all it was a great place to stay

Traveling were my wife, teenage son, and me, and the property fit our needs perfectly. It was nice and clean, and abutted the woods. We rarely use VRBO, so the check in process was a little cumbersome for me, but quickly got the hang of it. Would highly recommend to any group of three or four seeking to visit Galena and/or Galena Territory.

The host was fine, the heat could not keep up with the cold temps and the Hot Water was warm. I would not recommend this location for a winter getaway.

Thank you for your feedback. We’re truly sorry to hear your stay didn’t meet your expectations, as we always aim to provide a comfortable and welcoming experience for every guest. To clarify for future travelers: the building is a beautifully maintained historic property, and the central heat does keep up with winter temperatures. We also provide space heaters in every room so each guest can adjust their comfort level individually. During this stay, the thermostat was set to 68° and the home was holding at 68°, and guests were given permission to raise the temperature as needed. (they raised it to 80, and another guest came along behind them to turn it down to a more comfortable setting) All rooms have full access to the shared kitchen and common areas, and we’re always happy to help guests navigate features like smart locks or temperature settings when needed. We understand that small inns and short-term rentals offer a different experience than a full-service hotel, and while many guests love the charm and independence, we know it’s not the perfect fit for everyone. We wish you the very best in your future travels and appreciate the opportunity to continue improving for our guests
