We had a fantastic stay at River Bend in Onaway! The home was in excellent condition, very clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed. It was the perfect size for our family of four, with plenty of space to spread out and relax. The location was great as well. We were close to restaurants, grocery stores, and a bait and tackle shop, while still feeling like we were getting away from it all. The home also comes with a rowboat, although we didn’t get a chance to use it during our stay.We made the most of our time together — taking long hikes at the Ocqueoc Bicentennial Pathway, visiting a state park, and even making a day trip to Mackinac Island. Some of our favorite moments, though, were the simple ones: grilling, sitting around the bonfire, working on puzzles and games, and just relaxing and enjoying family time. Our host made everything easy from start to finish, which made the whole experience even better. We truly enjoyed our stay at River Bend and would definitely stay here again. Highly recommended for families looking for a comfortable home base with plenty to do nearby!

Great stay!

My family and I had a great stay. My only complaint is the fireplace. The starter works only intermittently and the batteries for the fireplace remote were dead. Otherwise, it is a great location, quiet, and a good place for a relaxing stay.

House on River

Overall very nice house, has all of the basics needed, and for most part conveniently located. Beautiful view, and nicely appointed. Comfortable beds and furniture. Some minor issues with ceiling fans and some lighting. There are several switches that we couldn’t figure what they were for. Labeling them would be helpful.

We were very unhappy with this property. Owners are not accommodating at all. We had a 4:00pm event and asked for an hour earlier check in so we could clean up after our long drive to make our event in time and they refused. The price per night is a lot for the excessive rules. No visitors, no this no that and cameras all over making you very uncomfortable as you’re being spied on all the time. We are 60 years old and have never felt so uncomfortable staying somewhere. Felt as we could not enjoy this property at all so we just slept there and got up and left early each day so we could enjoy our weekend.Would not recommend this place to anyone. It’s a nice place if you want to feel as you’re not trusted and want to be babysat all day.
