Seven Mile Beach Private Family Home - booking summer dates now!

This charming family home is rented for vacation travelers during school holiday breaks and the summer. Weeks other than holiday & summer weeks, the family may (not always) reside in the garage apartment; however, the you (guest) will have exclusive use of main home, pool and amenities. Location:
Boggy Sand Road is the elite address in Grand Cayman at the north end of Seven Mile Beach. A gem being a small, eclectic residential street lined with a mix of Cayman cottages and beach front mansions overlooking the only section of Seven Mile Beach that is free from beach-front condos. Since Boggy Sand Road is a small cul-de-sac with only one public beach access point, this section of Seven Mile Beach is not crowded so you can spread out and relax.

The beach access (323 ft from driveway) on Boggy Sand Road leads to an area known for the best off-shore snorkeling that Seven Mile Beach has to offer. You'll often see the catamaran charters from the Ritz, Westin and Marriott head to the same area that is swimmable from this beach access point.

Many visitors and locals head to the beach wall on Boggy Sand Road in the evening to marvel at the amazing sunsets and beautiful view of the entirety of Seven Mile Beach's western facing bay. At this sea wall, where Boggy Sand Road begins, you will find Heritage Kitchen, the well known island fish shack famous for its simple fresh fish with beans and rice.

A grocery store, pharmacy, bank, liquor store and couple of casual eateries (Heritage Kitchen, Bay Side Cafe, Alfrescos and Dairy Queen) are withing walking distance. The majority of Seven Mile Beach restaurants and activities are only 3-5 miles away. The Boggy Sand location is great to take advantage of all Grand Cayman has to offer.

Guests use the public beach access path, which can be impacted by tides taking sand in and out. Please inquire if you have any concerns. Still, Clearwater House is one of the few private home available for short-rent with proximity to Seven Mile Beach restaurants and amenities. Super Sandy beach entries are only a 2-3 mile drive if that works better your family. Clearwater House is a great place to stay.

Fabulous 2 weeks at Clearwater House

We spent a delightful couple of weeks in West Bay, initially celebrating my 70th birthday and then exploring the island's incredible range of attractions. The house had everything, from heated swimming pool to gas barbecue and pizza oven, from table tennis table to indoor gym. It is also situated close to a nice beach with great snorkelling and rock pooling and the Heritage Kitchen, a small shack selling the best home-cooked mahi-mahi and lobster, best enjoyed with a beer whilst watching the sun set. It really could not have better. Kathy, the host, was always just a WhatsApp message away and the one issue we had (aircon failure) was sorted immediately. Fatima, the housekeeper, was also most helpful and looked after the children on one occasion whilst we had an evening out in George Town. We found a great small boat hire (Cachas Stewart aka Super C -Jah Bless Charters) for fishing and trips to the Stingray sandbar and coral reefs. Best beaches were Smith's Cove and Rum Point, in addition of course to Seven Mile Beach. Above all the people are so friendly and eager to help, even more so than other Caribbean islands we have visited. Can't wait until I'm 80 and have an excuse to return! Highly recommended.

Surpassed all Expectations

This property is very special. Close enough to the attractions while secluded to provide privacy. The hosts did not miss any amenities. Paddle boards, bikes, kayaks and top end appliances. The heated pool was a real bonus and we will talk about the She Shed for years.

Perfect Caribbean getaway

We were originally scheduled to be in the Cayman Islands the summer of 2020 to celebrate our oldest daughter’s graduation from high school. Unfortunately, the world shut down and our trip was canceled. We postponed for three years to 2023 and also timed out to celebrate our younger daughter’s graduation from high school. The beautiful Clearwater house fit us perfectly, our party of eight (our family of 5+3 well mannered boyfriends). Kathy set us up perfectly with all the right recommendations to maximize everything the island had the offer. The house was very clean, the pool and gazebo area are incredible. I loved using the handheld weights a few mornings and got all the kids to do water aerobics at one point. The kitchen is well appointed with nothing missing (we did sharpen the knives to ensure our limes were cleanly cut :)) I would highly recommend this comfortable and perfectly located home to a party of 8-10.
