Angela and her family were amazing hosts. The schoolhouse is beautifully remodeled. It was by far the nicest rental home. It provided a wonderful, peaceful, and quiet place to stay while we were in the Gillette area.

Schoolhouse Rocks

Excellent stay for my kids and I as we visited Gillette. It is a bit outside the city but for us that was intentional!! Close to the city Rec center which was also exceptional!! Plenty of room for larger families and quiet!! Overall was fantastic!!

The Schoolhouse was exactly what our family needed. It was the relaxing stay we were expecting, and more. The host and her family was absolutely amazing! Having horses, dogs, and goats right outside the window was an added bonus we didn’t know we needed. We will be returning!

Charming little schoolhouse with all the amenities we could have asked for!!! Loved how clean it was and the no shoe policy resonates with my own heart! Would definitely stay here again!!!❤️

Amazing Western Getaway

The School House is an excellent western getaway for the family or perfect location for a base camp for a hunt. This is a newly renovated school house where there was excellent attention to detail, wonder finishings and fantastic views! I highly recommend this location! Owners are incredible with communication!

Perfect Getaway

The Schoolhouse was the perfect place to stay when visiting Gillette. It is conveniently located ten miles south of town. The property is updated from top to bottom, adorably decorated, comfortable bedding, plenty of space for everyone, and located on a ranch with stunning horses. The hosts are friendly and helpful. Highly recommend!

The remodeled school house was stunning. So many brilliant time period decorations! The maps & books were simply darling! We didn't understand the water that came from the pipes, so we could not enjoy the clawfoot bathtub as much as it deserved, but the 8 beds were uber comfy. If there is space for 8 to sleep, could there be space for 8 to eat?This property could easily be marketed & enjoyed as a farmstay. There were so many beautiful animals and grounds where guests could assist with pigs, horses, goats, cats, and dogs.Due to a bit of miscommunication with the owner, we really had high hopes of supporting the family farm rather than just being passive observers. Instead, enjoying Gillette's many wonders made this a good trip: Ice Cream Cafe, roller skating, trampolining, swimming & sliding @ the Rec Center, and the magical Area 59 - is a must do!
