This was a really lovely house with the perfect amount of space for our multi-generation family to stay and to spread out and have our own space when needed. When we first pulled into the driveway, it felt like we were arriving to a scene from a fairy tale, and the inside of the house was just as good as the outside. Catherine was a really thoughtful host and provided everything that we needed for our stay from a bundle of firewood for the lovely indoor stove to ample cookware for us to put together a Thanksgiving feast. Catherine was also really friendly and prompt in her communication. Finally the location of the house was ideal, a short 5-minute drive from everything in nearby Knowlton. If we come back to the area in the future, I would definitely book this house again.

Beautiful property and comfortable house. Walkable to the town nearby with lots of shops, restaurants, and sights to see. Amazing place to stay with anything you need in the house available for your use.

A gorgeous setting and beautiful house. Kitchen fully stocked. Our favourite thing to do was to get the fire going and read our books while the wind and rain thrashed about outside. Very cozy!

Beautiful Holiday

We loved staying here: we were 2 families with 4 grown children, 4 young adults in their twenties. The house was very spacious, modern and bright with plenty of room for everyone to lounge, cook, hang out on the deck or sit by the pretty pond replete with a couple of in-house frogs. Late evenings, we sat down around the firepit. Close to the town of Knowlton, we could shop, hang out at the beach or easily drive to other nearby towns. Our host was very gracious and responded quickly to our questions and requests. Truly a wonderful place to stay for a French-Canadian vacation.

Little gem in Knowlton

The chalet was perfect for 9 people (4 adults and 5 kids). It was very comfortable and everyone had a bed. Lots of room to move around and the kids could play in the basement. The kitchen is fully equipped. We did not lack a thing. 20 minutes to the ski hill made it perfect for us. The host was very responsive. The chalet was exactly what the pictures and description suggest. Little gem. Would recommend to anyone.

Great!

The place was fantastic, offering comfortable beds in every room and a cozy atmosphere perfect for relaxing, reading, and cooking with a small group. However, there was a minor issue regarding the supplies. We received an email before our arrival stating we wouldn’t need to bring essentials like toilet paper, dish towels, or dish soap. Unfortunately, the house didn’t seem adequately stocked for 8 people staying 4 days. This might have been an oversight by the cleaning team, but it felt a bit disappointing given the significantly higher holiday pricing. That said, it wasn’t a major inconvenience, as there were nearby stores that were easy to access. Overall, it was still a wonderful experience!"

Dommage que Janicke n’ait pas pensé à ouvrir les tiroirs : tout le nécessaire était là. Mais ça ne justifie pas de laisser des excréments dans la douche et du vomi dans les toilettes. Un minimum de respect aurait été apprécié.
