when we arrived the house was not very clean and seemed like it was in the middle of being worked on.There was blue painters tape everywhere, floors had stuff on them, the bath tub wouldn’t drain and backed up after running shower for only 30 seconds. The beds were fine but other furniture uncomfortable. My Biggest complaint was the host being pretty unreasonable after we made our booking. The host reached out 2 months after I made the booking and 2 months before the date of our stay and said VRBO made a mistake and they should have charged occupancy fees for having more than 4 people planning to stay in the home (I have a family of 6) and the listing says the home sleeps 8. When I asked questions as to what the fees covered and why I had to pay them when I was bringing less than the listed occupancy she would not give me an answer. I said the mistake was not mine and the fees were not listed when I booked, However, I offered to pay half the fees just to be fair. Host said I must pay the new fees in their entirety or she would cancel my booking. There were no other hotels or rentals available in this small town for the dates of our booking so I had to pay the extra fees.
