Poorly maintained property

First, let me say this is a spacious house with a lot of room to fit people comfortably. However, it had the bare minimum. Mattresses were awefull

Short but Sweet

The house was nice but needs updating as far as furniture. The beds are uncomfortable and the high chairs in the kitchen are super loose and the couch I want to say is broken because it's so hard. It's a beautiful home but needs a uplift.

Unusable cookware and dirty dishwasher

Overall the house was nice, but my issue comes to cookware and the dishwasher. The few pieces of cookware they had were scratched up and unusable. I went and bought new cookware and asked for reimbursement which was denied, not too much to ask for I didn't think as I left the new cookware. The dishwasher did not seem to function properly either. I don't think it is hooked up to hot water or the heater inside doesn't work as the dishwasher has a moldy, musty, mildew smell and never heated up. I also had to go buy sponges to do dishes as the only sponges they had were laid out loose under the sink and wasn't sure what they had been used on. I also had to buy charcoal for the grill and thought that was usually supplied. Had good communication with the host, until I started sending pictures of the damaged cookware and dishwasher and never got another response from them. I called VRBO and they spoke with the host and he again denied my ask for reimbursement. In hindsight, I should have had them go buy new cookware, but I usually try to leave a place in better shape that I find it.
