One word: AWESOME!

This awesome little gem of a property is in a nice, quiet, secluded area of Ivanhoe. The house is one of the cleanest we’ve ever stayed in with just the right amount of amenities necessary. The vineyard is a great addition. We were graciously welcomed with a gift basket of snacks and wine from the vineyard (delicious btw)! The beds are comfy, the shower is great, and the kitchen has everything you need. The dock overlooking the lake was nice to fish from or to just sit and have coffee in the morning. One thing, no WiFi which was ok with us. We will definitely be back!

It was so quiet and relaxing. A beautiful little cottage just a few feet from a still, calm lake. The lake seems to be more for fishing and looking at, I didnt feel comfortable getting in it, but that did not change just how lovely the experience was!!! The host was very kind and always answered our call if we had questions! 😁 They even left a bottle of wine for us to try fresh from the working vineyard on property.

Beautiful and Private

My small family of three LOVED staying here for the week. The cottage is very stocked and clean and we were able to find everything we needed. We thoroughly enjoyed sitting around the fire pit and, most especially, fishing on the dock for big bass and catfish. This home is wonderful because the area is SO quiet and the only people that can see you on the property from behind the house is anyone out on the lake....You cannot see neighbors here! It is awesome. It is secluded and private. We completely loved it and 100% want to return. The only recommendations we have is for wifi and a washer/dryer for longer staying guests, plus a vent in the bathroom. Other than that, all was perfect. The beds were comfy and the views and vibe were superb. 10/10 recommend to anyone looking for a peaceful escape. Thank you to the hosts again for such a wonderful vacation at your stunning home.

Co-owners are from the mid west and upstate NY but have lived in Texas the last 30 years. We purchased this place with a dream to start growing grapes and to start making wine. Now we have 2 vineyards and a lovely cottage that sits on Lake Tristan. We really enjoy the sunsets on the water and having wine by the firepit at night to relax.

Why they chose this property

The co-owner of the property has a lake house on Lake Charmaine and have made many friends in the area. We love the quaint quiet area that Ivanhoe is. Very close to Jasper for fishing and close to Beaumont for shopping.

What makes this property unique

Our vineyard is very unique in so many ways... There are not many properties that actually grow Italian vines and use their own grapes for making wine. We just built a huge deck attached to the cottage for more comfort and shade from the sun to relax. There is a huge firepit near the lake for smores and jam sessions with friends which features poly Adirondack chairs for your use. Large dock off the property for fishing, paddle boarding, kayaking, star gazing and much much more.
