Riverside Haven in Quarry Park. Classy bungalow close to fun & nature.

Get to know Riverside Haven. Relax on the cozy deck overlooking the Carburn Park Bow River pathway. Or stay comfy indoors with the gas fireplace, well stocked gourmet kitchen, big screen tv and pool table. Morning coffee from the Jura is a treat, or Starbucks is just around the corner. The extensive pathways along the river mean nature is close by, right in the city. Shopping, restaurants, sports & entertainment are all near by. The Stampede grounds, Spruce Meadows and the airport are all about only a 20-25 minute drive. Proximity to Glenmore, Deerfoot and Stoney Trails mean simple access to hiking trails west (check AllTrails), or Drumheller and trails to the east.
Our home is ideally suited for one couple with the large primary suite on the main level. The spare bedroom on the lower level has a comfy double bed, best suited for one guest. The extra queen size sofa bed can be made up on the lower level with advance notice. We’ll leave the bed-kit for you.
Parking is on the driveway. There’s an automatic irrigation system and the lawn is mowed weekly. This is our primary residence but we are away during the summer. My sister lives close by and manages Riverside Haven when we are away. Enjoy your home away from home!

Stampede Oasis

This was a great place to stay during the stampede, away from all the downtown crowds & being able to relax comfortably The house was stocked, cleaned & beautiful! No problems checking in or out, would definitely stay here again :)

Great Location on Bow River

Came to Calgary for the Rotary International Convention. From communication with Owner to enjoyment of the home, the stay couldn't have been any better. Great location, close to shopping and restaurants, excellent surroundings. This beautiful home is equipped with everything you could want. Stampede getaway

Stayed at Riverside Haven during stampede. Although a bit of an uber to downtown, being able to come back to this beautiful home was the perfect ending (and start) of every day! Just as promised, excellent communication and best if all...grest coffee!

I’ve spent much of my life traveling, most recently as a tour operator. Riverside Haven is my home, and I think you’ll appreciate this as your home away from home too. It’s filled with collections from my travels. I’m a wine and food lover so the kitchen, wine glasses, and pantry reflect that. Please use anything you like and treat it as your own. I spend much of the year, including all summer with my partner, Ron, in BC. When my daughter is not away at school this is also her home base.

Why they chose this property

The Quarry Park neighborhood is a newer community, built on the site of a gravel quarry. Older neighborhoods with trees and pathways surround us. Calgary has an extensive river and park pathway system. We are directly on the path beside the Bow River. Carburn Park and the river habitat are home to deer, coyotes, bobcats, porcupines and countless birds. We have a local fox, though I haven’t seen it myself. Exploring is very safe at all times of day.
It’s an easy walk to our local shopping area with a Coop grocery store and several restaurants. We really like The Park restaurant for atmosphere and great food. The YMCA Remington is also close with full fitness facilities and pool. Just pay a drop in fee for access.
When traveling, I always appreciate a comfy bed with good linens and nice pillows. We have set up our summer rental for you with that in mind. We hope you aleep well and find pur park setting relaxing.
