About this property

Minutes walk to Downtown, Whychus Creek—4-bedroom, cozy cottage/Private Sauna.

Situated in a picturesque setting, minutes from downtown Sisters. This charming historical cottage, with extensive modern touches, offers a tranquil retreat in a safe neighborhood for your next vacation. A home away from home! My goal is to help make my guests’ stay as stress-free as possible.

I believe you’re going to love all the fantastic amenities this cozy cottage has to offer! Take a moment to unwind in the charming outdoor sitting areas, complete with two lovely decks and a comfortable covered gazebo—perfect for soaking up the sun and enjoying some relaxation. You’ll be serenaded by the sweet sounds of native birds and the gentle babble of Whychus Creek in the distance. And let’s not forget the sauna, where you can indulge in some excellent health benefits. With its inviting atmosphere and fantastic location, the cottage is just the place to kick off your fun adventure in Sister! Enjoy your stay!

Arriving at the front of the cottage, there’ll be an extensive white picket fence surrounding the cottage on a private corner lot. There is extensive free off-road parking available for 4 to 8 vehicles. Additionally, for an RV or 5th wheel, there are unfortunately no hook-ups available. As you approach the front door of the cottage, follow the stepping stone leading to the uncovered patio. Please be careful with weather variations when entering the cottage.

The Master lockbox is located near the front door of the cottage. The code is changed frequently for the quest’s safety. I will message the new code on the day of arrival at the cottage. There is also a security camera at the front and rear doors, as well as above the garage door area.

Once inside the cottage, you are welcomed by a cozy sectional couch and the inviting living room, hardwood pine flooring, a gas fireplace, gorgeous historical wooden blinds, and large white plank accents. So inviting and comfortable for entertaining and enjoying.

Two additional keys will be provided on the cabinet near the coat rack. One key is marked “J” for the front and back door. The other key is marked “B” for the basement area. Please use these when you’re visiting the cottage and return the individual key to the Master Lockbox to keep it safe. When departing, return the keys to the appropriate area.

There is a white binder on the living room ottoman that contains a lot of information about the cottage for your quick reference, ie. Wifi passwords. Additionally, a notebook containing numerous restaurant menus and options. A black binder near the fireplace has significant numbers for emergency purposes. Many games and cards are in the cabinet in the living room. Please take a look around, and you’ll most likely find what you’re looking for.

The Ruku TV remote is on the ottoman. Please return to the ottoman before departing the cottage. Do not log out of any of the streaming options. This will prevent other guests from enjoying the many options. The Ruku TV features surround sound, including a base speaker and an sound bar speaker positioned under the TV. If the volume doesn’t turn on with the TV remote, please press the on button located at the top of the sound bar speaker, positioned under the TV.

Kick back and relax in the evenings by the warm, cozy fireplace, or catch up on your favorite shows on the smart TV—whatever feels right! You’ll love having high-speed WiFi for browsing and staying connected,

The main level is accessible without the use of steps, with two queen-sized bedrooms, a sectional with a hide-a-bed, a full-sized bathroom, a kitchen, and a dining area. From the dining area, enter through the French doors and assess the extensive back patio deck.

The main level hall closet is well-stocked with a variety of towels and many supplies. Please use only the supplies necessary to ensure you have a comfortable stay at the cottage. Just take a look around and you’ll most likely find it. Thank you.

The two bedrooms on the main level are both step-free areas and have easy access to the full-sized bathroom. Each bedroom features blinds and curtains, along with ample storage space. Plenty of extra blankets and pillows if needed. One of the bedrooms features a full-sized mirror, while the other has a mirror mounted on the wall.

The third bedroom has a lower bed frame that is closer to the floor. Excellent for guests with any mobility issues. This bedroom is also conveniently located near the bathroom and has access to the back deck through a French door situated in the bedroom. Personally, my favorite place to stay when visiting my cottage.

The primary bedroom is upstairs. It features a private sitting area, ample storage for clothing, wooden blinds, and a comfy queen-sized bed. Additionally, it has blankets, pillows, a fan, and a heater, if needed. I just love this area for unwinding and enjoying the beauty all around.

The primary bathroom features a walk-in shower with a seating area, an elegant clawfoot tub for soaking, and a vanity area—a beautiful, bright space with skylights and numerous windows. From the walk-in shower, Whychus Creek is visible. Please take a look around, and you’ll most likely find what you’re looking for.

The office is a bright area with a skylight and numerous books to enjoy, featuring an office desk, desk light, supplies, and high-speed internet.

Back on the main level of the cottage-

The kitchen is fully equipped with essential appliances, including a Viking convection gas stove & oven, microwave, dishwasher, and refrigerator with icemaker, allowing you to prepare delightful meals with ease. You can enjoy your culinary creations at the dining table, which seats six, when a leaf is added to the table. Or take advantage of the beautiful outdoor space by firing up the BBQ for a pleasant al fresco dining experience. This lovely cottage serves as a unique oasis for relaxation and enjoyment. The covered Gazebo has lights for the evening that I set on auto. The timer is on the back side of the house near the gazebo. I set it on “2” or “4”. The lights will remain on for 2 or 4 hours after dawn.

Just off the dining room are some carpeted stairs leading to the lower level of the cottage. You’ll find two additional sleeping areas, a private sitting area, some light free weights, a yoga mat, and a utility room. If you’re looking for a bit of peace, check out the lower-level sitting area, where you can enjoy some time away from the hustle and bustle.

There is a Tempur-Pedic twin bed and a cozy, full-sized bed on this level. A partial wall separates the beds. There is ample storage space for your belongings. Unfortunately, there is no restroom on the lowest level of the cottage. Must be able to take stairs to access this level.

Please take a look around the utility room, and you’ll most likely find what you need to make your stay comfortable. The sauna towels will be on the metal storage shelving. Also, an iron and an ironing board, as well as a clothing rack, are located in this area.

Venture outside to the extensive back deck area, which offers plenty of seating options. Also, take a walk to enjoy the private sauna. Please read the instructions before using the sauna. If you’re into cold plunging, there’s a nice option to enjoy Wychus Creek just minutes behind the cottage. Return to ground on the grassy backyard and enjoy the surroundings.

And don’t forget to take advantage of the stunning night sky for some beautiful stargazing, thanks to the minimal light pollution. You can unwind on the grassy area or enjoy a gentle sway in the hammock for a truly relaxing experience!

Enjoy your stay!

This is a comfortable, well-equipped house in a fantastic location just a couple of blocks from downtown Sisters. I appreciated the cozy beds, the comfy and spacious couch, the charming outdoor seating area, and the nice range of kitchen equipment. In addition to a wide variety of pots and pans, they even had ziplocs and other food storage options. The owner was easy to deal with and quick to respond to any questions.I think this would be best rented by a family or a nimble group of close friends, just because there are two full baths. One is on the second level and essentially a private bath for whoever has the bedroom on that floor, and the other is on the ground floor for everyone else. Though they thoughtfully provide poopourri :) All in all a great stay in a great location. I would definitely rent again if I come back to Sisters.

Why they chose this property

I feel like the cottage found me. I was searching for a property that captured all my senses. Walking through the gate, on rocks that led to the front door, I was excited to see what was behind it. I was immediately drawn into the cottage, appreciating the pine hardwood flooring, the stone fireplace, and the large white painted wood planks on the ceiling. So cozy and beautiful! There were wooden blinds on most of the windows. The living room was spacious, and two bedrooms and a bathroom on the main level. The living space opened up to the beautiful kitchen and dining room area. With a large chandelier above the oak dining room table. An abundance of light cascaded into the dining area from the southwest. As we walked toward the dining room French door, I was greeted by a large deck, a covered gazebo, and a huge backyard. At that moment, I knew this was going to be my new home. A home I could share with others to enjoy and create lasting memories.

What makes this property unique

My cottage stands out from the others because it is historical but has many modern touches. The beauty is sustained but with luxury and comfort throughout. The large backyard provides privacy and tranquility in a natural setting. The home and grounds are beautifully maintained. Abundance of outdoor seating to enjoy. Covered and uncovered sitting areas. Amenities galore. Large sleeping areas with comfy beds. Wet/dry private sauna and Whychus Creek flowing in the near distance. Everything you could want is within walking distance or a short drive Many Airbnb guests reviews suggest it is "the home away from home”, cozy, serene, peaceful! It’s definitely my magical place that I’m happy to share with you and your families. Thank you!
