We are so excited to host return customers!!! I’m glad you enjoyed your second stay and your granddaughter was happy there. Stairs to the loft are narrow and a little high compared to regular stairs. Thanks for the heads up about the porch stair— we will take a look at it and see if there is any improvement needed. Thanks again for your return visit!!

Such a perfect place for a getaway. We loved the location of the cabin, out of the way but close to everything. The host is very friendly and was wonderful throughout our stay! My family and I absolutely loved our weekend.

I stayed in this cozy cabin for 2.5 weeks while in town for a work project and had the best experience. The hosts were extremely friendly and had great suggestions for exploring the area. The cabin was clean and provided the perfect accommodations for a homie stay away from home.

Cozy cabin in the woods surrounded by birch trees. Quiet and serene location and easy to get to Palmer and Wasilla. Only a short drive to Hatcher Pass and the historic Independence Gold Mine and all the hiking trails in the area. Definitely an incredible experience to see the old mining camp in the surreal and beautiful landscape above tree line. The cabin was clean, comfortable, and had all the kitchen supplies needed to make dinner and breakfasts there. Plenty of towels were nice after getting damp in the snow and the beds were very comfortable. The owner was responsive about an issue and we would definitely stay again. I stayed with my teen son and we both really enjoyed it.

We had a wonderful stay at this rustic cabin! It had the perfect balance of cozy, rustic charm while still providing all the amenities we needed for a comfortable visit. The cabin was clean, well-equipped, and a great place to relax after a day of exploring with my teen boys. The location was fantastic! It’s close to Hatcher Pass and the historic Independence Mine, making it easy to enjoy some of Alaska's most beautiful scenery and history. We also appreciated how convenient it was to get into Palmer, where we had an incredible guided ATV tour with Joe from DirtFrenzy. It was one of the highlights of our trip! One thing that pleasantly surprised us was the composting toilet. It was our first experience using one, and we were impressed that there was absolutely no odor. It was easy to use and much nicer than we expected. If you're looking for a peaceful cabin with easy access to outdoor adventures, this is an excellent choice. We'd happily stay here again!

Check-in is easy. Cabin is very clean and cozy. Beds are comfortable. Close to the supermarket and hiking trails. The cabin is a little close to the road so you'll hear the traffic when you sit on the front porch but that's the only downside.

Relaxed three nighter

The good first. Easy access yet nicely nestled in the woods, so the feeling of solace and privacy. The cabin itself just as listed but once inside much smaller but does have all the necessities you may need. It is a rustic cabin as noted which fits very well in the woods, but too rustic in parts inside; rough floor in the upper level and a little steep going up as you hold onto the railings.. not sure if is by design, but the owner should look into that. Still, I do recommend it and had a very nice time.

We appreciate your review- it will help us make the place better for others. Yes, in the Alaskan way, the stairs up to the loft are steep and it probably is not the best fit for anyone with mobility struggles. We have added a light in the landing to make the stairs more visible. It is also good to note that the floor of the loft bedroom are rough hewn wood. We will makes sure there are no splinters but the rough hewn wood is part of the Alaskan charm. Thanks again for your recommendations and glad you enjoyed your stay overall.

I really appreciated the detail of the description of this cabin - we knew exactly what to expect, which is not always the case with these rentals. The cabin was super cute, clean and comfortable. Everything we needed for the weekend. Very comfortable stay!
