Wonderful, relaxing mini vacation!

The Little Gem was so nice! Very clean and had almost everything you could need. Some hooks would be very helpful, but everything else was great!

We ended up arriving later than expected due to traffic which made entering the "right" driveway harder for us. Our cottage was difficult to locate because there were no lights on (lights were on in the white house right in front of us as we drove in, but not the one we rented). Once located with our headlights, we walked in and found it to be very cute! It had everything we needed. We had to contact the host for a lighter for the stove, but she responded quickly and brought us what we needed. The bed was comfortable, view of the surrounding trees was BEAUTIFUL!!! Late Oct.A few suggestions, longer shower curtain-lots of water on the floor after a shower, curtains on "all" the windows (our first morning, we were surprised to see another rental outside our main living area that had NO curtains, thankfully it was empty when we were there), a small table/TV tray would be a nice addition. With no TV, we brought games and it made it a little difficult to play with no table, especially since my husband can't sit on the floor. Other than that...the drive to Mt. Baker was wonderful, beautiful sites. We ate lunch at Gunners BBQ in town, good, a little pricey though. All in all, we had a good time. I would definitely go back if I had the chance.
Picture from the back of the home, so cute!

About the host

Hosted by Weeg Simmons

Host profile image
My husband Todd and I and two kids are avid skiers and snowboarders, as well as surfers and fishermen. We chose to raise our family in one of the most beautiful places on earth! Our plan is to share our place in hopes that other guests can enjoy it as much as we do.

Why they chose this property

We chose this 8 acre parcel because it boarders Cornell creek and is not in a development, creating more space and privacy. It’s also close enough to Glacier to walk, run or ride your bike.

What makes this property unique

This property stands out from the rest because it stands alone and is not surrounded by any other houses.
