The Farm House - Your Peaceful Country Getaway!

Welcome to our charming farmhouse in rural Osborn MO! Built in the late 1800s, our home is a great retreat from city living and great for get-togethers no matter where you live - perfect for gathering friends, immediate or extended family. It's a fun fall getaway, a cozy Christmas destination, a beautiful spring retreat, and a super summer playground!
Comfortable beds, large living areas, lots of porch seating, beautiful sunsets, and access to the 3300 acre Pony Express Lake Conservation Area make this the perfect spot to unwind. With the nearest neighbor more than half a mile down the road, peace and quiet are abundant. Located just on the edge of the conservation area, you can stroll down the gravel road to the lake for fishing, swimming or kayaking. You'll likely see deer, wild turkeys and bunnies on your way!
The kitchen is fully equipped with a full size refrigerator and freezer, oven, microwave, cooktop, dishwasher, coffee maker, cookware and utensils. All bed linens, bath towels and toiletries are provided so planning and packing for a visit is stress-free. There is a grocery and Walmart just 15 convenient minutes away if you need supplies.
With two bedrooms downstairs and two up, there are options for those who need ground-level mobility. The bathroom is also on the ground floor for easy accessibility. Wifi is provided and an office space is available if you need to get some work done during your visit. The living room offers a large screen television with streaming capabilities. A washer, dryer, laundry soap and fabric softener are available for your use if you choose an extended stay. There is plenty of parking with room for trailers if you wish to bring dirt bikes, side-by-sides, kayaks, canoes, etc.
If you like to get out and about, St Joseph is less than 30 minutes to the west with shopping, museums and other activities. Hamilton, the quilt capital of Missouri, is 30 minutes directly east. The Amish community of Jamesport is about 45 minutes northeast, Shatto Dairy is about 10 minutes south with tours and samples, the US 36 Raceway is less than 10 minutes away with a drag strip and dirt track racing, and there are wineries and small towns to explore in almost every direction! The Farm House is a convenient home base for hunters utilizing the grounds of the conservation area and local farms you might be hunting. It's also a great destination spot for July 4 in the country!
