worked for what I needed

This is a nice place at the end of a street. We have work in Ely and we stayed at a couple hotels and this is so much better being able to cook.

the only thing with regard to older guests chairs with backs and waste baskets in every room. Over all the accommodations were great and we very much enjoyed our stay and would most likely rent the property again.

Great host! Cozy historic home! Super welcoming!

The host's attention to details made it feel like home. Everything you'd need. Very comfortable beds, stocked pantry, renovated but still kept historical details, like antique skeleton doorknobs. We loved the history of the home which she shared in a welcome book and gave us ideas for things to do. Friendly, quiet older neighborhood... perfect for my family if 4 and pup.

The house was questionably clean. There seemed to be dust built up on every surface and soap all over the walls in the shower. The surface and handles of the fridge were caked with food. The beds were comfortable at least!

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at The Purple Door over the July 4th weekend! From the moment we arrived, we felt right at home. The house is incredibly cozy, beautifully decorated, and thoughtfully appointed with everything we could possibly need. It’s clear that every detail has been carefully considered to make guests feel comfortable and welcome.Our host, Renee, was exceptional. Her communication before and during our stay was prompt, friendly, and genuinely kind, making the entire experience seamless and stress-free.If you’re looking for a charming, comfortable place to stay near Ely or McGill, this is it. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and will definitely be returning. We highly recommend The Purple Door to anyone looking for a relaxing and memorable getaway!

Cute bungalow with everything we needed and more! The Keurig was a great plus. Lots of essentials in the kitchen. Host was quick to respond and helpful with any questions we had. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to others.
