We had an absolutely amazing stay at this lake house! The views are breathtaking, and the serenity of the surroundings made it the perfect place to relax and recharge. The home itself is beautiful, comfortable, and truly makes you feel at home from the moment you arrive.The owners are incredibly helpful, kind, and very approachable, which made our stay even better. They were always available if we had questions and clearly care about their guests’ experience.I highly recommend this lake house to anyone looking for a peaceful, memorable getaway. Great location

We enjoy how close this property is to Bok Tower and the fact that it has a beautiful, quiet location on a lake. The home is clean and well-stocked with towels, cooking supplies, novels to read, and a piano! (My only problem came when it was time to check out and I struggled to see the numbers on the lock box in the dark, but that is probably as much my aging eyes as anything!) Thank you for sharing this lovely home with us. Looking forward to staying here again.

Wonderfully Relaxing

Even though Florida's weather wasn't cooperating (cool with periods of "liquid sunshine") during part of our visit, we stayed warm and dry while enjoying some of the many distractions this home offers, including large collections of books, puzzles and games, solid Internet connections, etc. Once the sun finally made a showing, early morning mists were followed by stunning views of Lake Starr. And the views remain awsome all day long and into the evening. We will be back to enjoy more of the beauty and relaxation offered by the wonderful Lake House!

Sandra and Bill are incredible hosts! Check-in instructions were super detailed and helpful. The lake house is as pictured; spacious, charming, very clean and well stocked. The location was perfect; secluded yet close to everything. The deck, bar-b-que and priceless lake view provided one of the best meals and memorable moments. The purpose of our trip was to disconnect and spend quality time with our young kids (5 & 1) in a safe and peaceful setting. We seldom stay in the same place twice but this is an exceptional home and plan to come back.

Wonderful!

I wish my plans had not changed and that I would have had more time at the property. It was very relaxing and the amount of games/books/misc the owner left as "relaxation activities" was amazing. The communication from the owner was fantastic. Very spot on and friendly. If I ever go to the Lake Wales area again, this is definitely my first place to stay.

Wonderful and Welcoming Retreat

Enjoyed our stay at “The Lake House” the only regret is that we hadn’t planned for a little longer visit. It’s a wonderful and welcoming retreat. You’ve made it so comfortable, just like home! The Welcome Basket was such a lovely surprise…Something for everyone! Our Grandson (7 yrs. old) loved his own space upstairs. Super Relaxing

Our family of 4 stayed here for just 5 nights on a return trip from the Keys to NC. We choose this area because it was close to Legoland and Bok Gardens. I did not expect to find such a cute and comfortable house. Everyone was in love with the house and the view. Everything was well stocked with a great welcome basket too. Super quiet and relaxing to come back to after hitting Legoland, which is 15 minutes away. Bok Gardens is maybe 5 minutes away. If you do stay here definitely check out Spook Hill, neat tiny little side trip. We are 100% going back. I had planned on staying in a different place but this house is just too great.

Perfect Family Vacation

August 2017 We had a wonderful stay at the Lake House. The house was perfect for our family of five. The kids loved playing in the house, exploring the garden, watching the squirrels, and gazing at the lake. The house had everything plus more that we needed. The kitchen was fully equipped for everything which made staying here even easier. We had a great visit to Bok Tower – children’s garden and the café’s ice cream were a highlight for the kids. And a great swimming pool to visit was the Lake Eva Aquatics centre in Haines City. We will definitely be back to visit and enjoy more relaxing days here. Second Winter at the Lake House

Sandra & Bill Thank you for sharing your beautiful Lake House with us for a second winter. My father thrives here out of the cold and snow. He enjoyed so much reading at the picnic table & entertainment of the birds & squirrels. So much to do close by to add interesting outings to the relaxation & sun! the recommended ‘Cherry Pocket’ steak & seafood was a treat. Good food, service, & atmosphere. This year we took in two Cypress Garden Ski Club shows, Florida Flywheeler shows at Fort Meade & Zolfo Springs, several trips to full blooming Bok Gardens, the sugar plantation tour down near Lake Okeechobee. Fantastic! Many trips to Sunshine Flea market for amazing fresh fruit & veggies. Disney Springs & picnics & walks at Lake Marie in Dundee. We all had good relaxing days with Dad and hope we can enjoy another winter with him next year when he is 94 years old. The house and amenities are so much more than expected. Thank you. Another Amazing Winter

We returned to this beautiful Lake House for 10 weeks this winter, out of the Pennsylvania winter. Again, amazing. House well stocked, furnished with character and stunning lake view. Close to everything you would ever need. Owners are helpful and available if needed, but do not intrude. We are already planning for 2019!! Any one going to central Florida should definitely consider this fantastic property.
