Had a great night stay! Very clean and comfortable. Had everything we needed. Quiet neighborhood and our dog enjoyed the fenced in back yard. Thanks for sharing!
all the perks of home in a cozy little home near downtown audubon. jake was an amazing host, super responsive and a clear communicator! loved getting to stay in his home
Everything was great. We did accidentally bring home a travel coffee mug but we will return it when we are back on halloween since we liked it so much and already booked again.
We really enjoyed the home - awesome kitchen with all the appliances and pots/pans for cooking, as well as a nicely stocked spice cabinet. Living and dining rooms were comfortable with a big screen tv loaded with Apple TV and Google TV. The beds were comfortable, plenty of linens, and towels. And the number of soaps and shampoos available were astounding and really nice. We really appreciated the washer and dryer - we had already been traveling for 10 days and our clothing selection was getting low. Great deck for sunjing or watching stars, and a fenced backyard if you have dogs or younger kids. The house is filled with a plethora of vintage furnishings and antique décor, side-by-side with modern tvs, Bluetooth speakers, wi-fi, and security. We were surprised that 2 bedrooms were in the basement and there were just small windows. The downstairs bathroom also is a bit wonky, but functional. If the bedrooms had been upstairs, we would have given this 5* across board.Definitely will check for availability when we head to Audubon again!

Thanks so much for staying with us, Lezlie, and for the great feedback! We store personal items in the upstairs bedrooms / would have to charge more if we rented all four bedrooms, which is why only the basement bedrooms are available for guests at this time. We will be shutting the place down for a few months later this year to do a full remodel of the basement, so we will have a brand new, more functional space downstairs by the next time you pass through. Great meeting you both and would be glad to have you back anytime!
About the host
Hosted by Jake Christensen
I grew up in Audubon and work as a lawyer in tech in San Francisco after spending five years in Washington, DC.
Why they chose this property
I grew up in the house and am glad to be able to make it available to guests in between trips back home. This is where I come to get a break from the city and enjoy the space and quiet that only a small town can provide.
What makes this property unique
With the open fields to the east and north, there's ample privacy and space to relax, but you can still walk or drive downtown in a matter of minutes.
