Amazing get away with a great view of the surrounding beauty of Ashland. It was quiet, clean, and had a great atmosphere for a walk or board game in one of the common rooms.
Such a beautiful home and grounds. Large bedroom and attached bath (We stayed in the Athen Room). Enjoyed the large balcony off of our room. Very comfortable and pleasant stay!
The Château was charming, relaxing, and a great place to spend quality time. It was very clean and well kept, and the spacious grounds were gorgeous. Felt like we had the place to ourselves most of the time. Bonus, it’s a quick trip to downtown Ashland. Recommend!
Such a great & peaceful place to spend time. The room & grounds just as pictured. Will be returning. Even though there were other guest, you felt you had the whole place to yourself. Great communication with host.
What a beautiful property! We honestly felt a little like we were going back in time. Such a lovely place, with an outstanding courtyard to wander in. Highly recommend the hot tub and sauna as well. Thanks for taking such good care of us!
Absolutely beautiful place to stay! Extremely quiet and peaceful. Our room was the perfect size and a beautiful view of Mt. Ashland and the hills. Close to town, great for a walk to down for a little distance. Parking was plentiful and SAFE! Such a beautiful place to stay! Highly recommend!!!!
We needed a place to stay the night on our road trip. Every hotel we looked at had at least one or two bad reviews. Decided to try VRBO and this place popped up. Less expensive and no bad reviews. What a gem! Quiet and secluded but close to downtown. Felt like we were staying at a rich uncles house while he was away!

The place is quirky but OK. No wine glasses even though it pretends to be a French chateau. Very Spartan conditions with no vibe whatsoever. Fine for wedding groups as long as you bring all of your own amenities. Wouldn’t stay here again.
The property is a venue property - weddings and such, but the rent out the rooms when there is no event. We were the only ones in the ‘chateau’ for two nights. The only odd thing was not interacting with any one at all except by email.
The Chateau is beautiful. Access was easy, communication was great, room was lovely. It is great value for the price in the area (note, we had a discount but even at the advertised rate it would be a good value). The only minor item was the carpet was a bit dated. Also of note - windows do not open, we just opened the patio door for fresh air.
New management took over a couple of months before our stay, they are continuing to make changes and upgrades. The chateau has the potential to be a true luxury stay in future.
The grounds are beautiful. The interior is lovely. Sounds carry from other floors, so if you're bothered by hearing people moving around or quietly snoring, this isn't the place for you. I was disappointed to learn the hot tub and sauna weren't available. The hot water heater couldn't keep up when apparently all the guests must have showered around the same time. There was plenty of hot water a couple hours later when I tried again
