Just needing a place to chill…

We came into town for two nights to attend ball games. This is more like a hotel stay with a much smaller room for the night than we expected. It was clean and met our needs, but we were expecting the kitchen area to be close by. We didn’t look for the hot tub or use the patio area. It was just too hot. I don’t think the listing should say “entire” home. People should be aware that everything other than the bedroom is offered to a community of people.

About the host

Host profile image
Hi, I’m Heather — and I absolutely love people and truly love what I do.

Running The West End Hotel isn’t just a job for me — it’s a passion. I genuinely enjoy getting to know my guests on a personal level. I love hearing your stories, sharing a laugh, and making sure you feel more like a friend than just someone passing through.

I’ll admit — I talk a lot (maybe more than I should!), and I’m working on being a better listener. But one thing is certain: I care deeply, and I will always go above and beyond to make your stay better — whether that means solving a problem, bringing you something you need, or just finding a way to make you smile.

I don’t give up. My goal is for every guest to leave feeling seen, valued, and genuinely cared for. Thank you for being here — I hope you feel at home at The West End.

Why they chose this property

The Central West End neighborhood is the perfect location — beautifully centralized, vibrant, and full of character. Whether you're visiting for business, university connections, healthcare, or leisure, our guests love that they’re just steps away from St. Louis University, Barnes-Jewish Hospital, Forest Park, world-class dining, cozy cafés, galleries, and charming boutiques.

Staying at The West End Hotel means you're right in the heart of it all — close enough to enjoy the energy of the city, yet tucked away in a quiet, walkable neighborhood that feels like home. It’s a location that truly offers the best of both worlds: urban convenience and neighborhood charm.

What makes this property unique

1. A Boutique Hybrid Experience
We’re a rare blend between a boutique hotel and an Airbnb — offering the best of both worlds. Guests enjoy the comfort and privacy of a hotel stay with the warmth, personality, and flexibility of a hosted home.
2. Personalized, Hands-On Hospitality
Our size allows us to give every guest individual attention. Heather, the owner, lives just two blocks away and is personally available to help — whether it’s a late-night lockout or just checking in to see how you’re doing. This kind of hands-on care is something big hotels simply can’t match.
3. Shared + Private Spaces
Our communal kitchens and lounges create opportunities for connection and socialization, but every guest room is designed to be a quiet, private retreat. Whether you want to mingle or keep to yourself, the choice is yours — and both options are fully supported.
4. Location, Location, Location
We’re located in the heart of Central West End, one of St. Louis' most vibrant, walkable neighborhoods. Steps from SLU, Forest Park, cafés, dining, hospitals, shops, and local culture — everything you need is just outside your door.
5. A Heartfelt Atmosphere
There’s no corporate feel here. From handwritten notes to warm hellos in the hallway, we’re all about genuine connection. Guests often say staying here feels like visiting a friend’s home — and that’s exactly the vibe we aim for.
6. Real-Time Flexibility & Support
Need something? Just ask. Whether it’s an extra towel, a fresh coffee maker, or a different room — we’re here, responsive, and ready to make it right. We don’t just care about your stay — we care during your stay.
