Definitely a cozy cabin, nestled on the edge of Sequoia. Everything we needed was there. Will stay again, owner is wonderful, we visited with her and enjoyed her company.

This was a great cabin to stay in, so close to Sequoia! We had a great weekend crashing here, the cabin had good wifi, a lot of movies to choose from, and all the amenities we needed. Rene was a fantastic host, letting us back in late when we locked ourselves out accidentally.

Quaint And Cozy

We had a wonderful stay! The location is ten minutes up a windy road on the mountain, meaning there was no road noise and very little noise otherwise. Do be aware that there are dogs on the property. The cabin was a little dirty and full of bugs due to the hot weather, but after the first night we had killed most of the bugs, tidied up, and had a great time!

Great little cabin

This cabin is a great little getaway. It is minutes away from the park. There is not a kitchen so be prepared to eat out.

It’s in a quiet area and the room is extremely cozy. The window view by the couch is my favorite part. Birds and other mountain animals are part of the ecosystem live here some surrounded by lots of trees. Close to three river NP entrance of Sequoia National park which is open at this season.

Property has a lot of potential but looks rundown. Carpet is dirty, kitchen is not clean, outside deck boards are wobbly and don't look safe, gate to the yard is barely standing up, back yard is full of dog poop. Place needs a lot of love to bring it up to the proper condition. Positive: amazing view from the large window, friendly dog, horses down the driveway, close to the park entrance and the town but drive up the mountain to the place is very nerve-wracking especially when dark.

I was very disappointed in the condition and cleanness of the cabin. The description was misleading. There was no stove top or sink in the kitchen area. The price charged for the accomandations was extremely over priced. I am very reluctant to use your services again.

Hidden little gem

We had a wonderful stay at this cozy cabin! The mountain view from the bedroom was breathtaking, especially at sunrise, and the location couldn’t have been more convenient—just a short drive to the Sequoia National Park entrance. The check-in process was seamless, and Renee, our host, was fantastic with her quick and clear communication. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a peaceful and scenic getaway!

Great place for some off the grid time

Loved the property, enjoyed the time we stayed there. Love the old and rustic vibe of the place. Suggestion, love the place, but a little more maintenance and cleanliness would be a charm to the place. Overall great place. There was no wifi during our trip which was a bummer since there is literally no network. So if wifi also doesn’t work you are literally in the middle of the woods with no connection to outside world.

Had a wonderful stay in the cozy cabin. Loved the little touches the host provided. Overall four bc the shower needs better water pressure. It was peaceful and definitely in the woods. Very close to the Foothill Entrance of the NP.

A place to lay your head

Would have been the perfect place to stay, but the pictures of the house did not represent what it looks like now. We did not have access to WiFi but wasn’t informed it had been out for a couple of months till we got there. The yard needed to be mowed and trees trimmed more away from the house. The house needed a little more cleaning inside and cobwebs removed, especially from the shower. It’s a super cute place, just needed a little more TLC.

Nice place off the beaten path

This was just fine for what we needed. The place is quaint and just what you need if you’re spending the day up in the park. Host was very friendly. The kitchenette area doesn’t have a sink or stove but we brought a cooler full of frozen food to warm up the first night. Very fun and charming place. Would do it again.

Privacy , studio type cabin

Quiet and comfortable . I brought my own cooking top for camping because it’s a kitchenette only … no cooking stove. It was fine 👍 My dog loved to watch the birds on the window. Star gazing at night in your own private backyard of the cabin was so relaxing.

The house and property are extraordinary, and have huge potential. Unfortunately, they are beyond rustic and have become run down. The house is darling and the windows offer a beautiful view, but the whole house needs a deep cleaning....pulling furniture away from walls and vacuuming everywhere. Light bulbs need replacing and light fixtures need to be cleaned. Also, drawers and cabinets need to be cleaned and repaired. The kitchen would be more usable if there was a larger refrigerator/freezer. If it were my place, I'd get rid of the closet and put a refrigerator there. I'd also reroute the AC so it doesn't come out under the bathroom sink. Then, I'd have a kitchen sink installed where the current tiny fridge is. The big bed was very comfortable. In addition, the shower was nice and we appreciated having our dishes done for us. The outside needs work as well.....especially the gate, which was falling apart. Some of the outside furniture is just too old, the grass needs mowing, and the dead trees and shrubs should be removed. The lawn swing is divine, and the property overall is really lovely. It just needs a bit of work to earn good reviews again.

Don't waste your money. We did and we had little to no water pressure to shower. We could not properly bathe. The amenities described were not there. No spa, no real kitchen, no washer, refrigerator set on high and still didn't keep cold Nowhere to unpack your clothing, poorly insulated with uneven AC cooling. Gates broken. Gave 2 star because cabin was cozy and there is a beautiful picture window, the king bed was comfortable. But, not enough to keep us in this poorly kept cabin. We were so dissappointed we cut our stay short. Reached out to host still no response after 3 days.

This "cabin" is absolutely nothing like described. It was the filthiest, nastiest place I have ever stayed. Just entering the gate was a struggle, the latch on the exterior gate was bent and barely functional. The interior gate was basically ancient and falling apart. The grounds surrounding the cabin was an absolute mess, trash everywhere, weeds all over, it was just a shambles. We couldn't enjoy the outside at all it was so overgrown. The chairs were old, broken down as well as some semblence of a firepit. It was just disgusting. The little porch area had not been swept up for leaves, dirt and cobwebs. The inside was atrocious! cobwebs on top of cobwebs (big ones). No sink in what she called the Kitchenette. What appliances were there were so old and nasty. Cabinet doors broken. The fan she had didn't work. AC wouldn't cool past 79 degrees. Inside door handle kept coming off (essentially broken). Light switches broken. Burnt out light bulbs in the bathroom.

I'm from San Francisco and fell in love with this area at first sight and settled here after my husband died.
I love animals and have made my home a sanctuary for rescued dogs, horses and a cat.

Why they chose this property

This property is actually within the boundaries of Sequoia National Park and is home to many animals and birds such as bears, coyotes, deer, eagles, ravens, hawks, snakes, lizards, bobcats, mountain lions, foxes, squirrels, and may be seen on any given day around here. The views are exceptional of the snow-capped mountains in the winter, the wildflowers in the spring, and even the fall colors of the trees are pretty decent, too. One thing you'll have to get used to is how quiet it is. I love it!

What makes this property unique

This property is only 4 miles from Sequoia National Park which is handy during the summer months when the park is very busy. We are also on Mineral King Road which is on the way to the Mineral King area of Sequoia NP.
The cabin itself is very rustic, don't expect the Palais De Paris. (I've had it happen when a husband thought he would surprise his wife, a new mother, dressed in conservative designer duds, heels, and a disappointed face. It was the middle of summer, hot and dusty, and coyotes howled pretty close by. I truly felt for her. She was on the verge of tears, and her 6-week-old infant was screaming at the top of his little lungs. That's when I suggested to Dad that if he wanted to save his marriage he better say his prayers and fly her to Las Vegas far away from my cute little cabin in the middle of this wonderful wilderness.)
