Other things to note
The site is about 20 minutes travel down the mountain to the ocean. Less than 10 minutes travel to beautiful hot springs pools and water falls swimming. Less than 5 minutes to river sports. Approx 10 minutes travel to the small town of Valencia for restaurants, groceries, park and resorts. This island is big! There is so much to see and do you might consider an extended stay to allow travel to neighboring islands. Tropical climate 365 days. NOTE: The road up our mountain is concrete and safe but it is steeper than many others so local taxis and public transportation is difficult to find. A rented scooter or truck/car is recommended. If you need help locating message us. Casa de Pueblo House notes
1. Location. Our road is Ogahong Rd. You must travel past “pigeon resort” to reach our property. Just keep coming up Ogahong rd until you see our sign on the right. Currently there is only one road up to our house. If Google says another route do not trust. That road is not finished yet. Please feel free to request one of our team to meet you at the base of our mountain and guide you up for your
2. Water pump. Make sure and locate circuit breaker box switch with tape. If your water pump keeps going off the breaker will stop the pump, which also means there is a water leak. Look at toilets, bidets, sink or shower for leaks or drips. The water still works if pump is off but has less pressure.
3. Community water schedule. The water is turned off early evenings and comes back on around dawn. The tank should last all night. Unless you like long showers you might run out of water. Note: taking shower’s early is advised.
4. Outdoor lights. This is a home located in a jungle. At night leave off lights upstairs and porch. Keep screens closed. Bees and insects are attracted to the lights. Most nights open windows with screens closed and a fan are extremely cool. Some people enjoy and prefer sleeping upstairs. Leave lights off except for short time.
5. Check in/check out. Our normal check in is at 2pm. But if the house is ready early we will message you if we have good contact information. We normally don’t accept check ins after 6pm. Check out is at 12 pm.
