Family getaway

Thank you for letting us stay at your beautiful home. We loved our stay and would definitely come back again. The house had a lot of space for all of us. Hot tub and fire pit was nice. Truly enjoyed ourselves.

We were impressed by this amazing home with its ocean view. Our annual sisters weekend was enhanced by the comfort of the beds, the convenient kitchen and the hot tub on the deck. we felt surrounded by nature. All of us would highly recommend the house.

Look no further...

This was more than we expected and loved every moment. The view is something we miss every day and the quiet surroundings was amazing. The space was very clean and more than enough room for all of us. We had everything we needed and would highly recommend to anyone looking to rent in Anderson Cove. Lots of great memories for our family.

50th Anniversary celebration

Really enjoyed this property. Lots of bedrooms and bathrooms, great flexibility with different bed sizes- singles queens and king - comfortable beds. Kitchen was well stocked. Great view!! Lots of space for badminton and ball games. The dock was a real bonus!! Hot tub needs a bit of a cleaning.

Hopefully a One Off for Future Guests

Home is very spacious. Comfy beds. Missing many essentials unfortunately (salt, sugar, tin foil) clean - but not as clean as all other homes we have rented in the past. Home is showing its age. Did enjoy the wildlife we saw right on the property (rabbits, owl).

Beautiful View with lots of beds

A group of 8-9 women stayed at your rental and it was such a great fit. We loved the view and that there were lots of beds. The house was bigger than we anticipated which was a nice surprise. The view is so gorgeous and it was very relaxing. Upon arrival there was a note saying that the hot tub had a slow leak and needed to be topped up daily, which was disappointing but manageable. The kitchen was well stocked, except for no dish washing detergent. We enjoyed the large dining table to all sit around to eat and play games. Thank you for the lovely accommodation.

Spacious

Lots of space to sleep our 7 members. The house has seen better days and is a bit run down but tidy and functional. Kitchen was well stocked. Tried a couple dvds but they didnt play... good thing they also have netflix.

Comfortable accommodation but it needs updates and repair. Basement is musty. Railing on deck unsafe and needs repair. Needs non stick frying pans and better knives. Tile or linoleum in master bedroom bathroom would be an improvement. Deck chairs are rusted. Railing around hot tub needs repair. One pump on hot tub not working. Lights on hot tub do not work.

This house is in a great location and has an amazing view. The downside was the house is aged and maintenance needs to be done, windows that didn’t open bbq’s were filthy and propane on the deck one was out so we had to search for another tank. Deck chairs were full of cobwebs and we had to also search for cushions for the chairs. The weather was beautiful and we had a party of 10 women.. the least you could do is clean the hot tub and have the deck de-cobwebbed. Overall the stay was nice just disappointing they weren’t ready for us. The little things when you pay good money. The fridge also started off real slow, wasn’t even keeping our coffee cream cold. We emailed and texted and never did get a response. Loved the view the house was just meh.

Nice place, but....

Let's start with the positives. The location of this house is great. It's right on the water with a spectacular mountain view. There were plenty of bedrooms for the five of us cycling guys. The layout of the home is very conducive to both privacy and socializing. The beds were comfortable and the house was well-stocked with everything we needed. We did have a couple of issues. When we arrived, the dishwasher was full of water that had obviously been there for a while. We ran it through a cycle, but the water remained. We called to company responsible maintaining the property and were told it would be taken care of. After a day, nothing was done, so a return call was made. In the end, the dishwasher never got fixed. Also, the hot tub, was rather murky when we arrived. We were told we should just add some chemicals from the garage. (This is something that should have been ready to go when we arrived.) Based on this experience, I'd look for another place if were to vacation in the Sooke area again.

An amazing time away with lady friends

Our stay in the oceanfront home was perfect, enough space for us all, we were 8 ladies, (supposed to be 9), we had space to eat together, play games together and go for a hike in East Sooke Park. It was absolutely perfect. The house is well stocked with whatever you could need and ample space to relax and hang out to be together. Thank you!

Perfect Family Stay

Great property, perfect for a family getaway. Located in a quieter area of Sooke (East sooke) but plenty of space to relax, including a private hot tub and dock. Fabulous views and if your lucky, a resident bear! Approx 20 minutes from Sooke, so stock up on the way. Definitely check out the beach at Aylard Farm, absolutely stunning.

Island Getaway

You can’t beat the view and access to the water! Location is a bit removed from attractions in the area but the large property is very private and forested. Be aware and respectful of the forest residents - a black bear walked right up to us while we were in the hot tub at night! We had 9 family members staying here and the house provided more than enough space for everyone. House could use some repairs and updates but everything is functional and well stocked.

Beautiful property!

I stayed here with a group of girlfriends and we had the best time! The pictures don't do the house justice, it's super clean and warm and inviting. The property is huge, lots of room for us to play lawn games, and the dock was amazing to enjoy the water. Lots of extra blankets, towels for hot tub, a great deck, and nice and clean. Would definitely stay here again!!

Exceeded our Expectations

our family recently spent 8 nights at this wonderful house while visiting Sooke for our daughters wedding. The house was very spacious and stocked with so many extras. It was everything we needed and more. The hot tub, the views, and a large dock. The beds were comfortable with nice bedding. We would definitely recommend this house.

Beautiful East Sooke

We loved staying here. It suited our family very well. It was clean enough, it’s hard with older houses to get things looking spotless. But it was good. The home has seen better days and could use some maintenance. But overall it was a great, comfortable place to be. Might be helpful to note the bedrooms upstairs are master with a queen bed, 2 twin bed bedroom, 1 queen bed bedroom. Main floor had the bedroom with a single bed. And the king size bedroom was in the basement. We loved the view and the private yard. It was wild and beautiful. We loved going down to the dock and enjoying the view from there as well. Bit of a hill climb though! The deck is great too. As well the out door fire pit on the grassy area was a nice addition. The hot tub has a great view. But it was not up to our standard of cleanliness. It could just have been that no one had used it for awhile and since it is the guests responsibility to add the chemicals etc perhaps no one was there to do that recently. The kitchen was huge and well stocked with pantry items. And the massive dinning table was perfect for family dinners. Overall, everyone had a fabulous time and we would consider booking this property again.
