About this property
Three Loons Cottage at Loon Pond - with private beach and kayaks
Welcome to our family lake cottage. With 130 feet of private sandy beach, a private dock, and floating swim platform, your slice of paradise awaits. The cottage is newly renovated with granite counters and extra large windows that provide a panoramic view of the lake. Watch the sunsets from the beach, or enjoy the view from inside the open concept kitchen and dining room. Don't forget to explore the pond with the provided kayaks, or cozy up to the fire at the lake-side fire pit.
The cottage is located at picturesque Loon Pond, in Gilmanton NH. Inside, you'll find two bedrooms and one bathroom. The kitchen is open concept with cathedral ceilings, and boasts a large granite island along with all of the amenities of home.
The main bedroom has a queen sized bed, 42" TV, and a door directly to the bathroom. The second bedroom is a rustic camp style bunk room, which has twin sized bunk beds, a regular full sized bed, and a 32" TV with gaming system. Additional sleeping space is available with a futon in the main room, which converts into a full-sized bed. Gather around the large dining table, seating six, and enjoy breathtaking views of the beach and waterfront, just steps away from the cottage. Private parking is conveniently located to the right of the property, with ample space for multiple vehicles.
Just across the street you'll find a beautiful fenced-in private beach, providing a safe and peaceful retreat for both guests and their pets. Shared exclusively with the neighboring hosts, this tranquil spot has everything you need to relax and unwind by the water. The sandy beach slopes gradually into the water for the first 50 feet, and drops off to almost 30 feet deep at the swim raft. Guests will find a private dock, fire pit, swim raft, picnic table with umbrella, and five kayaks for their enjoyment. Have your own boat? The public boat launch is also within walking distance of the cottage.
Avid fisherman? Don't forget your fishpoles! Loon Pond is known as an excellent bass fishery, providing anglers with large mouth bass over 6 pounds!
Winter time: Loon pond is a popular ice fishing spot, known for large schools of white perch. The ice is typically safe at the end of January or early February, and we leave the gate to the beach open all winter for the local snowmobile club to use to access the lake. The snowmobile trail can be accessed directly from the driveway!
Things to note:
The fire pit is subject to local regulations, which can include statewide fire bans during drought conditions. The fire pit may also be unavailable during Winter months due to deep snow drifts coming off the lake.
The dock and swim raft are taken out of the water around mid October to prepare for the ice, and they're put back in around memorial day.
Cell service can be spotty, but WiFi is provided and is accessible on the beach.

About the host
Hosted by Dennis
Hi there! My name is Dennis, and Loon pond has been a special place for me ever since I was born. I learned to swim on this exact beach! In 2019 I had the opportunity to purchase this property from family, and in 2023 I started a complete renovation of the cottage, doing almost all of the work by myself on weekends. I really hope you'll enjoy our little slice of paradise as much as we do!
What makes this property unique
We're blessed to have our own private beach which gradually slopes into the water. This makes it perfect for kids and pups! The cottage also offers a panoramic view of Loon Pond, and some of the best sunsets I've ever seen.
