This is our second or third time staying at the house. It is spacious and the kitchen is incredibly well-stocked. The setting is very sunny and serene - overlooking horses and the mountains.

Relax and enjoy

A wonderful place for a relaxing family get together. Pretty much what we expected. In particular loved the large flat outdoor space ( great for games) and beautiful gardens. Would love to return.

Loved the house.

We stayed with our four 20-something kids for the week following Christmas. We loved the house and looked forward to arriving there after a day on the slopes.Also, the vibe is different from much of Aspen - more Jackson Hole with lots of sunshine and horse farms out the back door.

Wir hatten ein schön und relativ einsam gelegenes Haus gemietet, in dem wir uns sehr wohl gefühlt haben. Das schon länger bestehende Haus ist sehr gut eingerichtet und bietet jedem etwas. An manchen Stellen bemerkt man die Abnutzung durch die Bewohner. Die Umgebung ist zart und lieblich und lädt zu Spaziergängen ein.

Family weekend trip to Asoen

The home is located in a beautiful valley. We enjoyed sitting on their deck each morning and night taking in the views. The home is exactly as described and had everything we needed. There are great hikes 10-30 minutes from house.

Beautiful Property

I had a wonderful experience chatting with the property owner prior to our arrival. She was very helpful and answered all of my preliminary questions. Unfortunately we arrived and found the house to be very hot. With fixed windows and no ac, we called the property manager to see if what we could do to cool the house and repeated phone calls to the property manager went unanswered. I know now that Colorado homes don't often come with ac but the fixed windows made the house into something of a greenhouse during our stay. Otherwise the property and house are gorgeous and we had easy access to Aspen/Snowmass. Thank you for hosting us.

ALL I CAN SAY IS "WOW!!"

Everything about Tina's home says "Welcome! We're thrilled you're here!" The house is situated amongst soaring snow-capped mountains and never-ending grassy fields, where we saw deer, elk and a gigantic herd of cows! Upon entering the house our first reaction was "WOW, JUST WOW!" The house is a stunning timberframe log home, saturated by light. The 3 bedrooms - each with its own bathroom - were cozy, warm, and inviting- enticing you to never leave! The beds were fantastically comfortable, with down comforters and pillows. Everywhere you looked there were beautiful sculptures and artwork, and best of all were the views from the front door and back deck! The hot tub on the side deck was sheer joy, and we just looked at the stars and listened to faraway animals calling each other. As a Chef, I loved the fully stocked kitchen with every pot, pan, spice & utensil I could have asked for (don't miss the oven's warming drawer!) It would have been very easy to never leave the neighborhood, the house, the yard & decks - and just sit outside, hike and explore, but the house is only about 15-20 minutes from Aspen, where shopping (& window shopping!) abound, as well as great restaurants and nice places to walk. We would unquestionably return to Tina's stunning "cabin" and look forward to the opportunity!

Wonderful!

We loved this place! Everything was modern but cozy, and the valley was a beautiful place to take walks. Loved the old monastery nearby, and took several walks over there. Old Snowmass is a 25-30 min drive to Aspen, 18 min to Basalt, but it didn’t slow us down! Grounds are really beautifully landscaped- and the meditation pagoda, hot tub, and deck were much appreciated.

A great mountain hideaway

We had a great stay. Amazing views, well equipped kitchen, comfy beds and great water pressure. Only a short 25 min drive to snowmass village. Absolutely would stay again!

Great location for lots of day trips

My family, including two daughters ages 9 and 12, had a nice week at this relaxing house in Snowmass. The house was very clean and ready when we checked in. Since we were there in late July, we had to open all the windows (with screens) to cool off. The upstairs never quite cooled down to our comfort so we had our kids share a downstairs bedroom. It wasn't a problem but might be good to know in case renters were hoping to utilize all three bedrooms during their stay. It did rain daily so we didn't open the sky lights as often as we would have liked. We also found two fans on the property which came in very handy for cooling off at night. The house offered comfortable accommodations and a well stocked, although small kitchen. We appreciated the propane grill on the deck and had a few nice meals at the house. The horses and pasture were a lovely view from the back of the house. There was some construction noise from the horse paddock with bobcats moving dirt, cutting rocks etc but it seems like CO has lots of construction in the summer due to weather limitations the rest of the year. The front of the house area was little more suburban than we expected from the photos but still private enough and the neighbors were quiet and kept to themselves. Our kids enjoyed the nice playground just down the street. They also loved the clean and well maintained hot tub off the main bedroom. We loved the location which allowed us easy access to lots of different day trips. There were great books, magazines, local trip brochures and lots of hiking maps in the house. We enjoyed horseback riding just down the road at SnowMass Creek Outfitters, hiking the Maroon Bells with Blazing Adventures and River Rafting with Defiance Rafting in Glenwood Springs. All were a short 10-40 minute drive from the house. The only thing we didn't really love was the carpeting in the bathrooms. Maybe that is a plus in winter but it just seems harder to clean. We thankfully never had to reach out to the owner/manager but we had her info if needed. All in all we would recommend this house and stay again if we find ourselves in the area in the future. Thanks!

Loved this House and Property

This is a very lovely home at a wonderful location. The home has so much charm and character. We just loved it. It’s located in a very peaceful area where there were open fields and horses. It was very relaxing. The house has 2 sets of washers and dryers and the kitchen is well stocked. The main bedroom’s bed was very comfortable and the baths had strong water pressure for showers. We throughly enjoyed this property.

Great experience

The upstairs bathroom has some issues for tall people plus the vanity light strobes randomly. Other than that, a great vacation home. Particularly enjoyed the wood-burning fireplace.

Wonderful house

The house and location worked great for our trip to the Aspen/Snowmass area. There was plenty of room for all of us (5 adults). Someone else mentioned the only TV is in the bedroom and that worked out great. We read books and just generally enjoyed being in the area. Thank you so much!

Great family get away

Our family of 5 enjoyed our stayed at this lovely home. The house is comfortable and well appointed. The property backs up to a large fenced in property with a small barn and a friendly horse that greeted us every day. The location is great. It’s an easy drive into Aspen for shopping and dining, Snow Mass for the Maroon Bells and horseback riding, and hiking trails galore. The house only has one TV and it’s not in the main area. It turned out to be wonderful. The first vacation in a long time with no TV!! The WiFi isn’t screaming, but it was fine for us. The hot tub was relaxing. Very clean. The star gazing was phenomenal. We would stay there again. 5 stars!!!

Old Snowmass

We rented this beautiful house, our adult children flew in,to celebrate our 40th anniversary, we were married and lived in Aspen. But when I first got to Colorado, I started living in old Snowmass. It was perfect, could not have been any better. Thanks

Nice and quiet

Very nice home and we had a good time. There are some things however I feel should be addressed to help other guests out in the future. There is only one tv in the house in the front bedroom and as hard as we tried, none of us could figure out how to work it. Several boxes, lots of wires and two controls and we never figured it out. It would’ve been nice in the evenings to have a tv in the main area somewhere that could be turned on for either kids or elderly parents. Also there are switches and controls for the lighting everywhere with no clear instructions on to what switches control which lights etc., so you spend a lot of time messing with the lighting. The stone floor in the front part of the house is heated which is awesome but there’s absolutely no instructions on what switch (if any) controls that heated floor. We have stayed at many VRBO homes and ALL of them have a book in the home that covers these types of questions and items that guests find really helpful during their stay, this home did not have one. We are also big recyclers and left our recycled items by the trash outside but once again there were no clear instructions about that either. A notebook with laminated pages that has info about the home would’ve been much appreciated. Just my opinion! It was a nice home that accommodated our family nicely and the surrounding scenery was lovely.

Nothing pleases me more than to have a plan come together

A clean and quiet home with plenty of firewood, high pressure from the showers, fast internet (12mbps +) and gas stove is what we were looking for and we got it all! In addition, we are big TV fans and the one TV provided what appeared to be the full satellite package which is a plus considering some rentals we've had in the past limited us to just Netflix or little premium channels. Cell service can be spotty so connect your phone to the wireless and you should be good. Obviously, the homeowner has no control over that so 5 stars from us.

Great Property!

This property was even better than advertised! My entire family was impressed with the space and cleanliness of the house. The outdoor space was enjoyed by everyone from the first thing in the morning until the late night, from playing games, to enjoying the sunrise/sunset and the hot tub! I would highly recommend this property to others and I hope that my family and I will be back for another stay!

We visited Aspen/Snowmass area in summer and our stay at Little Elk Creek was wonderful. Everything from the well equipped kitchen, dining table, jacuzzi, nespresso latte maker to the friendly horses at the neighbor’s backyard were exceptional! Totally worth it!

Great place for our multi- generational family, ages 10 months to 83 years!

Great house, well-equipped kitchen, room to eat together (up to 10), cozy for talking and reading. Nice outdoor hot tub, plus a yard for little ones to play and sled, and even a playground down the quiet little street if you are unfortunate enough to not have a lot of snow. An easy 25 minute drive to Snowmass, less than that to grocery store and restaurants. Indoor swing was a big hit, too! Nice little nook for reading or writing...we will go back!
