The beds were hard as a rock. The master down needs replacing. The 1/2 bathroom got stopped up three or four times in two days. Location was great and family area was open and good for cards games. Parking with two large SUVs was difficult.

Great property, located right where we needed it to be for easy access to Norfolk. Floorplan of the home is a little unusual, but that made it fun. There were multiple decks with beautiful views of the lake. Large kitchen, comfy beds, ample closet space. A small challenge to be aware of: there are a LOT of stairs from the ground floor to the master bedroom. Would stay here again. :)

The house was very clean. In a busy city, it is a quiet area with a beautiful view out back. We had plenty of the basic items we needed and everything was in fully functional order. There was also plenty of space for everyone to spread out indoors and outdoors. The house is in need of some touch ups and repainting where I believe there has been damage from too-rough renters. It is mostly just minor dings and stains on the walls or furniture. There is nothing that prevented us from enjoying the house or feeling comfortable there. We do have a pretty odor sensitive family (several of us can get migraines from strong chemical scents) and so we had to take out both plug in scent diffusers and put them outside. Once we aired out the house, it was fine. Just be aware if you are also scent sensitive that you will need to remove the plug ins when you arrive if that odor is too much for you. All in all, it was a good rental house and met our needs well.
