Everything was wonderful. The location and apartment were everything we could have wanted. Everything was clean and well-maintained. The check-in and check-out process were easy and friendly.
John made it easy and comfortable during entry, meeting us at the address. He also responded immediately whenever we contacted him., which we rarely needed to do.
Clean apartment and good for a family of 4. Good quiet neighborhood with restaurants close by. The address on the listing should match the actual listing, the only thing we would change.

Dear guest, thanks for your feedback. We share the real address upon check in due privacy and security of our guests. Thanks for understanding
Tasha and John were great hosts, quick to respond. John met us upon our arrival which was very helpful. Place was as it looks in the photos and the location was perfect for our purpose of moving our kids into an apartment in the UWS. It’s a first floor unit which was great as well. Close to subway and lots of good restaurants. The AC units in both bedrooms (which are ample in size!) were key as we were there in a heat wave! The kitchen could have used a few more amenities and maybe a start up small bag of coffee but overall it was a great stay!
We enjoyed the apartment and location. Host very good. We use vrbo instead of hotels for longer stays in the city so we can have a kitchen/real fridge. Downsides of this particular property are: very loud A/C units in the bedrooms, and no windows in the living area so no natural light in the apartment other than bedrooms. Otherwise, four stars.

Thanks for your feedback dear guest. The AC units are window units and are typical for New York, you will find them everywhere even at the hotels unless you are staying at the ritz Carlton or st Regis…

Tasha and John were great at communicating and very understanding when I mixed up our arrival time. Our initial walk through was brief, although I assume this was due to my ETA error. My wife asked if everything works, and Tasha said yes. I admittedly was a bit leery from the start because the property address provided by VRBO is not the address we were directed to by the hosts. The apartment is definitely not for the sensory sensitive.

Thanks for your feedback. All the rooms are equipped with windows ac’s which could produce some noise while working. Can’t change that.
I stayed here for 8 nights and it was worth every penny. First the main bedroom is decently sized, as NYC apartments tend to be small. The second bedroom is a bit smaller but good. Second, the apartment is modern looking and appears just as it looks in the photos! Everything was nice and clean. The bathroom is especially nice, equipped with a modern shower, sink and toilet. This was of particular concern to me as I tend to highly selective about my personal grooming space. The kitchen is nice too-the stove, refrigerator and amenities are "like new". The building itself is secure and I felt very safe staying there. The neighborhood is really nice as well. If you want to avoid overpaying for food in NYC, this is the perfect spot to stay. Literally 500 feet (or less) from the apartment, is a 24/7 bodega, and boy does it deliver! They sell every kind of fresh food you can think of which makes staying in NY more affordable. They sell egg and cheese sandwiches on a croissant or bagel or toast with beef bacon (a real NY staple), or other breakfast meats. They sell pancakes and waffles made fresh on the spot. They sell coffee (hot and iced coffee). Across from the bodega, is a great Thai restaurant. Lastly,I walked to Central Park (5 blocks) and took some wonderful pictures for my IG. I'll definitely be going back. And btw, I am a native NY so I understand the inherent challenges that NY'ers face with apartments (they're typically on the smaller size because we're space challenged).
This situation was the most uncomfortable and unprofessional rental experience I've ever had. It was clear from the day before check in that there was something amiss. First, someone named John texted me to coordinate check in. I did not know that someone would be contacting me outside of the app and had to verify him myself by asking the true host on the VRBO app. This was a first flag, but I try to be flexible. Then, John texted me a different address than the one on VRBO, another flag, but this was hours before my departure and so I, again, tried to be flexible. There are other comments on this listing that verify that they are giving out a different address. Then, when we got to the property, John told us not to tell anyone that we were there as part of a short term rental. He insisted that we shouldn't tell anyone, "not even the president." Another flag, but again, our options are to completely uproot our plans and find something last minute, spend hours dealing with the host and/or VRBO. Needless to say, the start was already a bad sign. Then, we realized that the window in the front room was broken. An opening, about 4 inches, that let air and noise in completely from the street. We notified John casually and he said he would try to come look at it, but didn't. Then, the next day, the window had broken even further and was wide open when we came home from a day out in the city. At this, we firmly notified John and he came to "repair" it with duct tape.

Thank you for sharing your feedback. We’re sorry to hear that aspects of your stay did not meet your expectations.
Regarding communication, a local property manager assists with guest coordination, which is why you were contacted directly prior to arrival. This is a common practice and was done to ensure a smooth check-in. The address provided was within the same property complex, and similar guidance has been given to other guests without issue.
The request to be discreet about short-term rentals is related to respecting the privacy and comfort of other residents in the building and was not intended to cause concern.
Concerning the window, we were notified during the stay and addressed the issue as promptly as possible. The condition of the window did not pose a safety concern, and a temporary solution was applied at the time, with permanent repairs scheduled.
While we regret that the stay felt uncomfortable for you, we made every effort to assist and respond when concerns were raised. We appreciate your feedback and will continue to improve communication and maintenance procedures going forward.
