Just spent four great days with our children and grandchildren at “The Rest”. The house and surroundings were perfect for our family. All enjoyed the creek as the temperatures were unusually high. The house was even better than expected! Thanks Mark and Suzanne for your quick response to a couple questions we had when we arrived.
Beautiful home. It was perfect for our group. Very nice amenities with upscale furnishings. The creek and deck are awesome. We spent all of our time on the porch listening to the creek. If you are looking in the area I highly recommend this house.
This place was amazing! We had a great stay at The Rest and were so impressed we changed our plans for a trip scheduled in November to come back here and stay. Great property and super clean!
Our family Christmas 2024 was a success in such a beautiful home. Lots of memories made. Would love to come back again. Owners were great! Accommodations were perfect.
This property is as described. The house is very nice, well stocked and clean. Great place if you want somewhere to relax. Our grandkids enjoyed tubing in the creek at the house. We saw deer and turkeys from the back porch. I definitely recommend this property.
We had a wonderful stay at this cabin! Everything exceeded our expectations. The location was perfect—peaceful, private, and surrounded by nature. The creek right in the backyard was absolutely beautiful and quickly became our favorite spot to relax. The cabin sits on a secluded lot, giving you plenty of privacy while still being convenient to nearby attractions. Inside, it was exceptionally clean, comfortable, and very well furnished with everything we needed for a relaxing stay. We especially appreciated all the thoughtful touches, including a nice selection of toys for kids, which made our family feel right at home. The host was also outstanding—very responsive, friendly, and easy to communicate with throughout the entire process. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and would definitely stay here again. Highly recommended!
This place was amazing! The location, the house, even the beds were great! Big enough for our family of 11. 6 adults and 5 kids 10-17. The absolutely huge back porch overlooking the creek. The boys loved fishing and tubing and exploring the creek! Even saw a beaver swim by! You will truly feel blessed if you can stay here!
We so enjoyed our visit at "The Rest"! It was clean, well-stocked, and beautifully decorated. We traveled with 4 generations: Parents, Children, Grandchildren, and Great-Grandchildren and the beds and baths accommodated all of us. We especially loved sitting on the porch, drinking coffee, and watching the kids play in the creek and the yard! This home is truly a blessing, and with its secluded setting, is appropriately named!
Incredibly spacious cabin with an amazing porch and easy access to a beautiful creek that you can lounge/tube in. Very comfortable beds/pillows and a very large living area that can accommodate a large group. Everything seemed to be high quality, and it was very clean! The property exceeded our expectations on every level and the host was very helpful and kind. Our families have stayed at a lot of cabins for the July 4th holiday over the years and we will likely be back to this place in the future!
The location and quality of this property are A+. Mark and his wife were very responsive and provided mostly everything needed. The decorations out were very appreciated and made it feel homey. There was plenty of firewood for indoor and outdoor fires, and we used the grill as well under the wide pavilion. The creek was beautiful and there was not another house in sight, though the driveway is a little steep.
