Amazing, beautiful to look in every direction and all you see is grass, trees, and deer. Just what our family needed for Thanksgiving week. Peace and quiet. The house is much older but very well maintained. The beds in every room are comfy and we good good use of the pool table. We would stay again that is for sure!
The place is a farm so it’s obviously out in the middle of the woods almost but nice and quiet. We had a race at Eagle Canyon, which is about 20 minutes away, so it worked out well for us. There’s some confusion with the cleanup crew, but the host took care of it and gave us a credit which was much appreciated. Highly recommend recommended.

Jim, thank you for your kind review and the grace you gave us in regard to the cleaning snafu. We truly appreciate you and hope you will stay again in the future. Al the best,
Melissa
We had a 4 day stay in this propeety. We were awaiting much of our furniture as we had purchased a new home in the area. Moving cross country is exhausting. I wanted a peaceful quiet place to unwind at the end of the day. This place is definayely quiet and surrounded by peace and nature. The owners of the property are helpful, resposive and a pleasure to talk to. I would highly reccomend them. Well worth the price.

These guests walked all over our carpet (every single room) with muddy boots, and they left every surface absolutely filthy. When I asked them to pay the extra cleaning fee that was charged to me by the cleaning company, the booking guest retaliated by leaving me a completely unfair one star review. I contacted vrbo, and submitted photos of the damage and am still awaiting their assistance.
An absolutely great place to stay. We loved the peace and quiet out in the country but plenty close to the city to grab things as needed. The deer became my morning friend and I will miss seeing him. The communication from the owners was excellent and I would highly recommend it, we will probably stay there again on another visit.

About the host
Hosted by Melissa Cato
I grew up and attended college in North Georgia and made the move to the beautiful Florida Panhandle in 2005 with my children. Here, I met my wonderful husband, Brett, and together we've created a big, beautiful family. When I'm not managing my small business or working on our rental properties, I cherish the time spent with our five children and five grandchildren. Being a host allows me the flexibility to maximize time with my family. I also take great pleasure in creating beautiful spaces for both our family and our guests to enjoy, fostering memories that will last a lifetime.
Why they chose this property
My husband, Brett, grew up in Decatur, Texas, a small town just outside of Dallas and Fort Worth. His father built Pecanway Farm for Brett and his sister, Glory, where they spent their childhood creating many cherished memories.
What makes this property unique
The farm is home to a sprawling pecan orchard, with hundreds of majestic pecan trees surrounding the house. Other areas of the farm are dedicated to cattle. It’s also a protected sanctuary for deer and other wildlife native to North Texas. Our dream is to restore the farm to its original splendor, bringing back horses, goats, and chickens to create a vibrant and thriving homestead once again.
