Two blocks from St. George Street, a private guesthouse is waiting for you — perched above a quiet garage, tucked beneath a canopy of old trees. Salt air drifts through the windows at dusk. In winter, the city's famous Nights of Lights glow just around the corner. Inside: a queen bed with soft cotton linens, a full kitchen, a private patio, and bikes ready to take you anywhere. This is where you slow down, breathe out, and remember why you came.

LOCATION & WHAT'S NEARBY

Less than half a mile — 6 to 8 minutes on foot — from the heart of St. Augustine's historic district.

St. George Street — 0.4 mi, 8-min walk. Pedestrian-only old city stretch: shops, galleries, cafés, restaurants in a district dating to 1565.

Castillo de San Marcos — 0.6 mi, 12-min walk. The oldest masonry fort in the continental US, built by the Spanish in 1672. Sunset on the waterfront is worth a slow walk.

Flagler College — 0.4 mi, 8-min walk. Henry Flagler's 1888 luxury hotel turned stunning campus. Free public tours most mornings.

Columbia Restaurant — 0.5 mi, 10-min walk. Tableside flambé, live flamenco, over a century of Spanish-Cuban cuisine.

St. Augustine Distillery — 0.6 mi, 12-min walk. Craft spirits in a restored ice plant. Free daily tours; cocktail bar included.

Lightner Museum — 0.5 mi, 10-min walk. Gilded Age art inside Flagler's Hotel Alcazar.

Anastasia State Park — 5 mi, 10-min drive. Atlantic beach, marshes, nature trails, and kayak rentals.

Vilano Beach — 4 mi, 8-min drive. Uncrowded — ideal for an early morning swim.

St. Augustine Beach — 6 mi, 12-min drive. Main beach scene with restaurants and surf.

WHO THIS HOME IS BEST FOR

Couples on a romantic weekend. The queen bedroom, private patio, and walkable location were designed for two. Arrive Friday evening, walk to dinner on St. George Street, and wake up Saturday with nowhere to be.

First-time visitors. Being eight minutes from the old city walls gives you the full experience — brick streets at night, the Castillo at golden hour, the spontaneity that only real proximity delivers.

Pet owners. Pets are welcome ($50 fee) and the fenced backyard gives your dog room to roam. St. Augustine is dog-friendly — many outdoor dining spots and waterfront paths welcome well-behaved animals. Not suitable for children.

History and architecture lovers. A 400-year-old fort, Spanish colonial streets, and a Gilded Age campus — all within 15 minutes on foot.

Couples during Nights of Lights (November–January). The guesthouse sits inside the glow. Walking the lit streets after dark is something people plan return trips around.

GUEST ACCESS

The entire guesthouse is yours — private entrance via keypad, private patio, shared fenced backyard, and garage bikes at no charge.

Check-in is self-guided: your door code arrives before you do. Tim is highly responsive throughout your stay but the space is built for independent arrival. Entrance is accessed by an exterior staircase above the garage. Bikes are in the garage, free for all guests.

PARKING

One free reserved driveway parking space held for the duration of your stay. In St. Augustine's historic district, private off-street parking is a genuine luxury — paid lots near the core run $15–25 per day and metered spots fill fast on weekends.

Park once. Use the bikes. The entire historic district is within easy cycling distance, and beaches are under 15 minutes by car.

Nice small place in a good location. It does not get much natural light, and the WiFi didn’t work and the host took a few days to respond. There was a cute cafe nearby, so that’s where we worked instead. It is a good place. Maybe not great, but it is good. And for the price, it worked.

Perfect location for our trip to St Augustine! We were able to walk everywhere(restaurants, historical sites, shopping). The owner, Tim, was so easy to communicate with and had great restaurant suggestions. Comfy bed and wonderful linens. Loved sitting on the balcony and relaxing. So nice to have parking too! We would happily rebook.

A perfect location to enjoy St Augustine, this adorable loft-style apartment for two was walking distance to all the Christmas festivities we wanted to see in the “city of lights.” The courtyard and small balcony off the bedroom added an upscale touch to the overall cozy feel of the property. We also loved that it’s pet-friendly and that our host responded quickly whenever we reached out with questions or concerns.

My wife and I had a great time here. It is walking distance from St. George street which is a huge perk since we saw many signs advertising $20 parking near there. It also had laundry with laundry detergent available. Host was great and very communicative. The place is small but perfect for couples, the area is amazing and you can’t beat it for the price and location of this property.

We had a great stay. The guesthouse is small but cute, and certainly big enough for my wife and I and our small dog. The bathroom and kitchen were very clean. The location is in a very nice, quiet and safe older neighborhood with old Florida charm, and it was enjoyable walking around looking at all the older houses in the area. It's a short ten minute or so walk to the historic area, and we didn't need to use our car except to go over to the beach. The balcony is nice and one of the reasons we picked this place over others, but unfortunately the weather turned very cold the day we arrived, so we didn't get to use it. We didn't use the bicycles either because of the weather.Overall we were very happy. The pictures accurately reflect the property, which isn't always the case. We would definitely stay there again if it's available the next time we visit St. Augustine.

I had originally booked this one, but the owner actually offered a different rental due to the cold temperatures at no extra cost to us so that we would have a place with central AC/Heat. I was super pleased with the communication from the host. All questions were quickly answered and concerns addressed! The location was amazing. I will say, it does look like it could be sketchy; however, we quickly realized it was not. There are LOTS of people walking around with their dogs, tons of college kids walking, and a ton of other vacation rentals in the area as well. Parking was conveniently located right at the place we stayed (63 Lemon if you wanna look up that location). I was pleased with the cleanliness, non-stick pan (if you know, you know), charm of the cottage/unit, and the location. We walked everywhere! The only time we didn't walk was to go to the grocery store. Everything was approx. half a mile away. We are big walkers, so this was perfect. Also, I was so happy the owner offered pet friendly rentals. We love travelling with our 2 dogs and were so glad they could accompany us. A fantastic experience overall. I will certainly stay here again if we revisit the area in the future.
