Our family group really enjoyed our stay. The setting of the property is amazing. The surrounding forest is so beautiful.Everything went smoothly including the check-in. The owner met us immediately and he was so friendly and helpful. This area of the Sunshine Coast has so many sites to see. We’ll have to come back again!
The property is gorgeous, and the house has basically everything needed for a comfortable stay. It’s very peaceful and quiet, and the sauna is definitely a bonus. I would absolutely go back! It’s also conveniently close to many places in the surrounding area.
Our family was looking for a quiet sanctuary to read and enjoy each other’s company. We found our perfect retreat at Linwood Carriage House. The property was immaculate and the area peaceful. The accommodation is charming and the host, Mark, was very kind. We look forward to a return visit.
We enjoyed our stay at this beautiful home tucked in a quiet wooded area with lots of shade and privacy. The hosts were very accommodating, and the property clean, quiet and well stocked.

We have had a very restful and relaxing time. The carriage house was set back in the woods and gave us great peace for the weekend.
Family gathering for grandfather’s 80th birthday in Roberts Creek at parents’ home.
Our family loved your Carriage House, the woods and the sauna. We appreciated your acceptance of their dog.

A cozy retreat, nestled in the forrests of Roberts Creek.
A gorgeous carriage house that is beautifully crafted and decorated. Gwen and Ron truly made us feel welcome on their property, which is an amazing sight.
The photos do speak a thousand words in this case. We were completely happy with our stay and wouldn't hesitate to return.
Perfect place for a quiet family getaway! There were 6 members of our family staying at the Linwood guest house for 5 days. One of the most serene settings that this property is located on which was immediately noticed from the first time driving up to the house. Being surrounded by an amazing forest with so many different types of trees, plants and hearing the birds chirping, it almost felt like the outside world was a distant thought while staying at this property. The inside of the house is very spacious with bedrooms located on each floor and the beds provided a very comfortable place to rest. The kitchen was adequately stocked with all of the basic cooking utensils needed. We also used the bbq and sat outside on the patio to enjoy a couple of meals during our visit. Nice comfortable setting to have our family meals with birds singing in the background. The host, Mark was very responsive to any questions or inquiries we had.Our family took advantage of some great hiking trails nearby, visiting Smugler cove and one of our favorite stops during the entire trip at Cliff Gilker park - less than 5 mins drive from the property. We really enjoyed walking through the towns of Gibsons and Sechelt which were a convenient and short 10 minute drive from this property. Even though this was our first time staying at the Sunshine Coast, it offered so many different things to see and explore, I’m sure that we will be back at some point down the road.
From the moment we pulled up the long driveway and I went to the day that we checked out everything was absolutely perfect. The host Mark was fantastic.
He even loaned me his Sonos speakers when I asked if they had some sort of portable stereo.
The property was extremely clean and everything was so well thought out.
My two teenage boys loved it.
I don’t know where they buy their bedding and linens but it was one of the best sleeps I’ve ever had.
The walks from the property were beautiful, or a 10 minute drive puts you on the beach.
I was allowed to bring my two small pets so that made it so much better for the family.
I’ll definitely book again.
Yes, this property is even prettier than the pictures as it is nestled into a sunny clearing in the forest. The expansive open-concept timber loft is suitable for a couple with its bathroom (equipped with a large tub) tucked into a dormer and a TV lounge area. This overlooks the main floor cozy living room with two comfy sofas. The main floor also has a large master bedroom, bathroom with rain shower, kitchen and eating area for 4/5 people. Downstairs there is a family bedroom for 3 with a shower and a door to a large sunny patio suitable for those lazy summer evening BBQs. The host lived nearby and responded quickly to our questions. Our group of 7 (3 generations) slept comfortably had a wonderful reunion.
We stayed at the carriage house with family friends for a week. The location was amazing, close to Roberts creek bike/hiking trails, playgrounds, the beach and shopping.
The house is well set up for the most part, however, we found there were a few things that were inconvenient. For example, there were a finite amount of garbage bags and dishwasher tabs provided. Also, the dishware and glassware - there aren't enough given the amount of people who can stay at the home. It also would have been helpful to have things like tinfoil, plastic baggies, and plastic wrap available for guests.
We did not miss the oven and found that all appliances worked great. The primary shower is amazing - pressure and various settings were great. Games and magazines left for guests was a nice touch. Location was quiet and felt very cozy!
There are retreats that happen at the main house (approx 50ft away) that could impact someone's stay here, if renting during a retreat... I would recommend asking prior to renting.
There were 2 adult couples (family) sharing the space and we thought the place was very pretty and provided a peaceful, relaxing stay until…… We arrived quite late the first day and basically brought our stuff in and went to bed. We had challenges in finding where the light switches were upstairs, and the main floor bathroom had terrible lighting. My brother in law almost cut himself shaving because the light was so dim. Overall, really poor lighting but still a cute place. We were impressed with the extra touches such as really nice soaps, lots of towels, a well stocked kitchen etc. This is, however the first property we ever stayed at with no booklet of info. For example, the microwave/oven is something none of us had ever seen, used or even heard of. A few quick tips would have been appreciated. No idea about the rules for garbage/recycling or most importantly what the wifi password was. As 2 out of the 4 of us were required to do some work, this was annoying. The quality of the internet was terrible and very frustrating. And still, we enjoyed the place. The final concern which resulted in our mutual agreement that we would not come back again is as follows. The second and third evenings of our stay, we sat outdoors and enjoyed the beautiful and serene backyard. Both of these evenings we were interrupted by 3 young men (not sure whether they were neighbours or renting like us) who came down to the foot of the property, smoked some weed and were loud and obnoxious for about an hour dropping F bombs every 2nd or 3rd word. Really destroyed the relaxing atmosphere. That was the final straw and although we initially thought to come back for a week next spring with our son and daughter-in-law, there is absolutely no way now. We paid a lot of money and there were too many “quirks” to put up with on this vacation.
We stayed here for 4 nights over the Thanksgiving weekend. We had a wonderful time enjoying the local hiking and mountain biking.
The property is gorgeous and very accessible to outdoor adventures.
In terms of the house we found the beds and furniture very comfortable. There is no oven but we found that we did just fine with the use of the stove top, BBQ and microwave. There is only a small fridge but knowing this before we arrived allowed us to bring a cooler which was used for drinks and the fridge worked for the rest of the groceries that needed to be kept cold.
Mark, the proprietor lives in the large house and was very friendly and helpful. We hope to return in the spring for another weekend!
Our stay was wonderful. The hosts were very helpful and accommodating. Mark took time to inform us about the area, places to go, and what animals we might see. The place itself was wonderful; very quiet, beautiful forest, like a treehouse in the woods. My kids had lots of fun exploring the area, visiting the horses and goats nearby, and making secret huts.
We prepared most of our meals in the house, used the BBQ, it had everything we needed. The only thing that we were missing was a broom or mop just to tidy up the area and some basic kitchen supplies, such as dish sponge, paper towel etc. so maybe bring your own.
The property is in a great location just up the hill from Roberts Creek village, and half way between Gibsons and Sechelt. The kids loved the loft and called it kids quarters. Our stay was excellent and Mark was very helpful in pricing suggestions for hikes, beaches and more.
