About this property
Bear Crossing by Colonial Properties
This relaxing cabin wows you from the moment you turn down the driveway! Nestled against trees, with an emerald green yard, Bear Crossing feels deliciously secluded. Yet it’s just minutes from downtown Gatlinburg, and close to Ober Mountain ski resort.
With four spacious bedrooms and a well-appointed game room, this gem easily accommodates up to 12 guests. Keep reading to discover your ideal vacation cabin!
Living Room
Plush! That’s the first word that comes to mind for the three plump leather recliners and two soft suede couches here. Kick off your shoes and sink into all that comfort! A huge fireplace, crafted of river stones, fills a whole wall. The extra large TV perches nearby, guarded by a whimsical, carved bear. Light a crackling fire, then binge-watch shows, sports and movies to your heart’s content.
Kitchen
The galley-style kitchen is so convenient. Everything is close at hand, ready for cooking family meals or just brewing a refreshing cup of coffee. The kitchen comes fully equipped with all the cookware, dishes and utensils you need. Don’t be fooled by the compact design–you get ample counter space, plus plenty of lovely, honey-gold wood cabinets for storage, so there’s never any clutter.
Dining
The dining table is just steps from the kitchen, so food arrives piping hot, and you can chat with the chef while you wait! The simple farmhouse table evokes Appalachian woodworking. Six classic ladder-back chairs add to the rustic beauty. Overhead, a contemporary chandelier brightens your meals. After supper, stick around here and play Monopoly or do a craft with the kids.
Bedrooms
Two bedrooms feature log furnishings including handcrafted log beds with luxurious king mattresses. One room has a futon couch doubling as both seating and extra sleeping space. Both rooms have glass doors giving private access to the deck outside. Slip onto the deck for a late-night cuddle with your sweetheart in the fresh night air!
The third king bedroom features a contemporary bedstead with a pretty lattice design. Pale wood furnishings make this restful room light and bright. This is a room for lingering, thanks to a glider rocker for reading or napping, and a desk where you can sit to check email or book tickets to attractions.
A bunk room, with twin-over-full mattresses, is the fourth bedroom. Teens and kids will want to hang out here, sprawling on the sofa and watching TV or gaming. A stained glass window adds both charm and privacy.
With four bathrooms, everyone can get ready without jostling for space at the sink. The master bath has a tub and shower combo, double vanity with two sinks, and loads of space to unpack toiletries. Other bathrooms offer roomy shower stalls.
Game Room
Challenge the kids to an air hockey tournament, or spend hours shooting pool. Don’t know the rules? Look them up and the whole family can learn together! A coffee station stands ready to fuel you for fun. The shiplap walls, vaulted ceiling, and mural of Smokies woods add beauty to this entertaining space.
Outdoor Spaces
Just outside the game room is the stone patio, home to a bubbling hot tub where you can soak your stress away.
Two decks run the length of the cabin, giving you soothing views of the woods surrounding you. Take your pick of seats: Swing gently in the old-fashioned porch swing. Sit in a white wicker chair and sip wine while you watch birds flit past. Rest your bones in a rocking chair and plan tomorrow’s outings in Gatlinburg.
Pack your bathing suits and pool toys when you visit in summer. Your cabin is in the Chalet Village resort, and your rental includes access to the resort’s seasonal swimming pool!
Other Amenities
Complimentary Wi-Fi keeps you connected with friends and family. Don’t forget to send photos of your adventures!
Bear Crossing gives you enough parking for five vehicles. When you’re ready to roam, your cars are right outside.
The washer and dryer make clean-ups a snap. Pack less clothing, because you can wash any time you like.
Bring your furry family member to join your Smokies vacation. Dogs are welcome.
The cabin provides all the fluffy towels and soft sheets you’ll need.
