We rented this property for family vacation Thanksgiving 2024. It was infested with ants! Ant traps & ants were visible around the house. Or family included a 4 yr & 11 month old who is crawling. Locks on 3 sets of sliding glass doors opening to the backyard/pool didn’t lock. “Clean” towels were damp & the dryer didn’t work. In the “well stocked” kitchen the stove had only 2 of 4 burners functioning, 1 bowl with the plates, limited cutlery (some broken), 1 small thin plastic cutting board, cheap plastic cooking utensils, refrigerator ice and water dispensers didn’t work. No window treatments in one front bedroom which had a clear view to the street. The grill didn’t light. The pool was ice cold despite being assured it would be heated. Worn out shower basins covered with paint with rusty drains. The list goes on and on. We contacted VRBO providing pictures & videos clips & left the property after one night informing the host we left. We barely used the kitchen, placed dirty dishes in the dishwasher & took out the trash. We slept in 3 of the beds, but didn’t shower. The house was gently used for 1 night. We had to find an alternate property the day before Thanksgiving & before the rest of our family arrived. We lost an entire day of time together. We communicated with the host regarding a refund, however, after putting us off twice saying he would talk with the owner, when I said I would post an honest review, I was threatened with being given a bad review as a renter.
