Welcome to Summit Splendor, a splendid place to stay while in Madison, SD! Located between Lake Herman and Lake Madison, this newly remodeled 3+-bedroom, 2 ½ -bathroom house is nestled in a quiet neighborhood, less than 5 minutes from downtown and just a few blocks from Dakota State University. It’s ideal for families, groups, or anyone seeking a comfortable stay with modern conveniences.

The main floor features a spacious kitchen with stone countertops and black stainless appliances along with a dining area, living room with smart TV, and an enclosed porch seating area where you can take in the beautiful sunrises.

There are two bedrooms on the main floor where guests can enjoy a restful night on luxurious queen-sized beds. The main floor also includes a full bath with a tub and shower, perfect for unwinding at the end of a busy day.

The lower level is set up as a suite complete with a kitchenette, laundry facilities, TV area, spacious bedroom with a queen-size bed and sitting area, plus a bathroom with a large shower.

Enjoy the deck with comfortable seating perfect for outdoor relaxation and evening gatherings. The quiet backyard offers a private retreat for outdoor grilling or family time.

The attic conversion provides guests with additional space to lounge on a futon that folds out to a full-size bed. There is a half bath on this level as well. With a maximum ceiling height of just 6 feet in the center, the space is best suited for shorter guests.

Hands down.... without even staying at another location in town, this is the best property in Madison, ultra clean, great parking, nice deck... so good.... Great hosts... if you are looking at this book it. You won't regret!!!

Lovely home, spotless, comfortable beds, great location, no noise during night, in town for family reasons, comfortable spot for people to drop in for visits. Set up to accommodate multiple generations, main floor bedroom, loft area . Two sitting areas , well equipped kitchen. Would definitely stay again if needed.

Great house!

This house was perfect for our stay. Very clean, nice layout and good location...close to downtown.Owners were easy to work with. Good communication, very accomodating and left really nice little touches in the house. We will be back!!

Great Location

This is a beautifully restored home close to DSU campus. Jeanne and Mark are terrific hosts and very responsive. We had travelled to Madison for my daughter's graduation and I only wish I had discovered this oroperty sooner.

The home was wonderful for our stay! Very clean, cozy and comfortable. We appreciated the kids toys and books, games and speedy WiFi. Plenty of space for our larger family and a lovely kitchen to cook meals in. We’ll be back!

I could not have been more pleased to have found Summit Splendor! My family of 6 plus my parents were in town for a family reunion and we wanted to stay somewhere near the location of the reunion. Having formerly stayed in hotels, we are new to using rental homes. Summit Splendor far exceeded our expectations and this beautiful home has set the bar high!It is obvious that Jeanne and Mark have put much time and effort into creating such a warm and welcoming space for guests. The house was extremely clean and had plenty of space for us. We appreciated the use of the full kitchen and the washer/dryer. In addition, they had great communication with us.This home would be perfect for a variety of occasions: visiting a child in college, a weekend of nearby travel sports games, a girls' weekend, attending a wedding, even a place for a bride and her parents and/or wedding party to get ready for the wedding. Thank you for a wonderful weekend in your home!
