Perfect place for race weekend!

My family & a friend stayed at the mellow yellow for the Eugene marathon. House was great! Clean, spacious, comfortable, great location. We all were really happy with our stay.

Lovely home-all the accoutrements. Great beds, appliances, comfy sofa. Being Boomers we expected tv w stations for news & sports, not apps that weren’t but that’s our only critique of house. Price concern around 175 cleaning fee -way too high and offensive since we had to strip beds, launder towels, etc. Threat re breakage online but no written instructions/hospitality welcome to direct. Otherwise, The Mellow Yellow House is a great accommodation.

Nice property

Our only serious complaint is that the front door has a deadbolt and a regular lock. We accidentally locked the lower one for which there is no key. We left voicemail for the host but did not get a response. We lucked out and found a way into the house, but it was a nervous 15 minutes.

Be wary

Be wary of renting this house if you value privacy and communication. There is an attached dwelling to the house occupied by an adult male. This fact was not disclosed to me before arrival and realized only after hearing unexplained noises during the first night and seeing him leave his dwelling the next morning. His entry door and the unshaded kitchen window are only a few feet apart. His bathroom seemingly aligns with the master bedroom headboard and I heard too much apparently coming from his bathroom. I contacted the VRBO host and two additional numbers. I was ignored.
