Gorgeous Lakeside Vacation Home For Water Sports, Fishing, Boating and Hiking.

Located on the water of Au Gres, Michigan, this two-story, three bedroom/two bath home is situated directly on the water with a magical view of Lake Huron with only nature and water to see. House has central air, on-demand hot water, electric fireplace a large deck and balcony. Totally renovated recently! This home is a non smoking and pet free location in order to maintain the high quality for our vacationers. All bedding is washed fresh for each guest. Your boats and jet skis can be left right in the water along the home's 60 foot dock for immediate launches onto Lake Huron. An island on the other side of the water creates a small canal that blocks the big waves of Lake Huron from the dock providing a calm area for boats, swimming and fishing. Only a short boat ride along the canal puts you directly into the big lake. Boat launch is nearby. The home includes two kayaks and a canoe available for use at no charge and are tied at the dock with life jackets included.
The fall tour is fantastic in this area as the colors a beautiful. This gorgeous home offers cable, high speed Wi-Fi, fully equipped kitchen with standard appliances, large second level balcony overlooking the water, washer/dryer, dishwasher, large BBQ grill, picnic table and a fire pit near the water. Other amenities include coffee maker (with sampler coffee), waffle maker, iron/ironing board, 55” and 24” TV’s with cable and videos, leather couch/chairs, lower level porch, storage area in the garage. All towels and linens included. Sleeps as many eight people. Come and just relax in this peaceful setting or fish, boat and swim to your heart's content.
The area is peaceful and quiet for the perfect relaxing vacation.

Our 3rd time returning! Such a great place to stay and unwind, enjoy beautiful scenery, nature, fish, bonfires, etc. Even my 2 teenagers approve and had fun! Ty again for allowing my family and I to stay again :-)

We had an amazing time!. The home had everything we needed and was in a beautiful location. Great fishing, view and fire pit. Greg was wonderful to work with and went over and beyond to make sure we had a great stay. We will definitely be back in the future!

Weekend Getaway

Renting this property for a quick kid free weekend with friends was a breeze. The owners provide every detail you can think of needing while staying away from home plus information about the local area. The view of the bay was amazing and great to drink coffee to in the mornings. We kayaked, fished and had bonfires. Definitely achieved the goal of rest and relaxation. Neighbors were friendly and neighborhood is quiet. Will definitely love to come back again!

Relaxing, Clean Home With Beautiful Views

Decided to last minute rent this home for the weekend with my husband. The house was super clean and had everything you'd need. Even with forgetting to pack some things, this house had it all. The sunset views are amazing and the area is so relaxing. This would be a great house for a family to rent as they had plenty of games (indoor & outside) and enough room for multiple guests. Loved every second of our little getaway! The owners are very responsive and left us a little smores gift basket. We even left a phone there and they found it and will ship it back to us! Cannot ask for better service!

Great summer vacation fun to be had!

While I wouldn't call this house luxurious, it is a pretty sweet house nevertheless. It's got to be the most well supplied property I have stayed at on VRBO. The owners are great with their communication and attitude as well. Things that are most awesome are the second floor balcony overlooking the "nature preserve" on the other side of the canal. We had multiple days we saw does and fawn feeding and strolling just opposite us on the banks of the island. Many other natural sounds and sights await besides deer, as well. The location is pretty awesome. Just a short boat ride to some really good fishing. The fishing dock is not set up as it is displayed in the picture. That didn't matter for us, but for some folks it might. There is no lower dock portion, save for a ladder to a small floating swim platform. It's a super quiet setting as it seems most houses in this area are owned by retired, older folks. Love to visit again!

Peaceful Stay

The property was as advertised and did not disappoint. The location was so quiet and serene with a fantastic view of the bay and all of the wildlife in between. We got in plenty of fishing from the shore, had a good time watching all of the martins, deer, mink, herons and geese across the channel. Greg and Lori were easy to work with and provided plenty of information prior to our stay. The next door neighbor came over and had a nice visit with us and gave us some loTawas was just up the road for when we wanted a little more hustle and bustle. We would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Visiting family in the area

We’ve stayed in this house before and it works well for us to visit family in the area. The third bedroom had an upgrade to a twin over double bunk bed and there are now bunk beds instead of a daybed in the downstairs living area. More room for kids/families. Always well stocked and very clean.

Fishing tournament

This was our second stay at this place for a fishing tournament. Check in was easy, location is perfect (we love the town of au gres), beds are comfy, needs some love/maintenance on the exterior, and black out shades for snoozing.

This property has something for everyone. From the bird watching/wildlife enthusiast to the sport fanatic this vacation rental has it all. Not only is the home gorgeous and fully equipped, but the 80 feet of water frontage offers anything from fishing to water skiing. There are a lot of birds, deer and other wildlife in abundance.

There are many golf courses, canoe liveries, beaches and other local attractions in the area.

What makes this property unique

The area is amazing because it can be used any of the seasons. Great for summer swimming and fishing activities, gorgeous for a fall color tour, cozy for a winter getaway or ice fishing and delightful in the spring. This offers something for everyone with many local activities such as golfing, bird watching, hiking, snowmobiling (lot of trails) and wind surfing.
