About this property

Quaint Log Cabin on Lake Kanasatka with shared beach

Your rustic log cabin on the peaceful shores of Lake Kanasataka awaits at property #418. This two-bedroom, one-bath home sleeps six, and offers one-of-a-kind waterfront views.

Get your beauty rest in the queen-sized bed, or one of the two twins with additional sleeping quarters found in the loft, accessed by the pull-down staircase. Your evenings can be spent in the living room, offering a stone-stacked, wood burning fireplace, a television with cable and a DVD player, and a book shelf, well stocked for a variety of literary tastes. The kitchen is fully-equipped and ready for meal prep, and dinners can be enjoyed at the four-person dining table with additional seating found at the counter. There is also a gas grill provided.

The deck provides plenty of seating to admire the view, and the property provides guests with hours of fun. There are four kayaks, one canoe, two rowboats, a paddleboat and a swim raft available for guests to use, which are shared with the cottage next door. Take advantage of the sandy shore, complete with lounge chairs and a fire pit. Steps lead down to the dock and swimming is from a ladder off the dock. Enjoy this lakeside getaway, conveniently located to Lakes Region activities, but away from it all on this quiet lake, perfect for canoeing, kayaking, fishing, and swimming.

Guests can bring their own boats, as the dock can accommodate up to an 18-foot boat.

Perfect reset vacation
Covid forced us to cancel our Disney trio so we stumbled upon this listing and it was better than we could imagine! Great private spot, quiet time away, all the amenities you need but close to town for anything you might need. Owners are lovely and stopped by to give us tickets to Squam science center, was such a nice treat. Thanks for a great week we will always remember! We all caught our first fish :)

Relaxing and perfect getaway vacation!
We had a wonderful week at this cabin in Moultonborough! Everything was just as it was listed! Cabin was very clean with lots of linens and towels for us to use and very spacious for our family. The cabin had a beautiful view of this quiet lake which was just steps away from a private sandy beach and dock. It was great having the kayaks, canoe and boats to use whenever we would like. And it was a perfect spot for using the firepit at night where you can look up at the stars and listen to the loons calling each other. We can't wait to visit there next year!

Room with a View
We loved this place!!! While well used and worn, the perks are SO worth it. The cabin’s view is unbeatable, and there isn’t a seat inside or outside where you can’t take it in. The place was clean and we noticed how nice it smelled as soon as we walked in - a lovely surprise in any summer cabin in the woods. The basics are there for you and the place has a homey feel - a hand-knitted blanket on the back of the couch, big old recliners, a dining table perfect for jigsaw puzzles, etc. But it is the sparkling water, the green mountains, the Loon calls, the starry nights, that make it a place we plan to return. It is conveniently located to all your basic needs, though the one drawback is the price you pay for that - traffic noise from the busy road not far away. But despite that, you feel like you have your own little corner of nature. The lake is relatively quiet (compared to Squam, Winnipesaukee, and Winnisquam), so we often felt like we had the lake completely to ourselves, and the water is glorious. We often swam 3 times a day. The dock is lovely (our daughter loved doing her yoga routine on it every morning) and watercraft is provided, though we ended up not using the kayaks because the seats were really ripped. The sandy seating area was really lovely and the lawn chairs provided comfortable, and the VIEW!!! We enjoyed several lovely evening fires in the fire pit. If cracked grout and stained linoleum tiles, worn carpet, and kitchen appliances dating to the 70s worry you, look elsewhere, but you will not find a more beautiful spot anywhere!!

Wonderful serene setting!
We enjoyed a perfect week at this rustic cottage! The views were spectacular -especially the sunsets and all the loon activity. Having access to the kayaks, the raft and the fire pit made us not want to leave! Thank you Sydney for your hospitality! We will be back!
