Simplicity. For over eighteen years we have been visiting Highlands and honing our definition of the perfect weekend retreat- A simple place with plenty of room for friends and a location close enough to town so the car can stay parked as long as we want. This is the house that made this dream come true. With a fun rustic-modern vibe, the house is a short stroll from Main Street and The Old Edwards Inn and has room for up to ten. Three bedrooms upstairs and a separate sitting area, two bedrooms and a games nook downstairs makes the house ideal for large groups or two families to share. It has an open layout and is ideal for girl's weekends, guy's weekends, dogs-playing poker weekends... It also has a two car garage and a ping pong table. This is the place for your Highlands adventures. Also, if you have a larger family gathering, wedding guests or a big friends' weekend, this house backs up to another house of ours with a convenient walking path in between: VRBO.com/473976

Walk to world class shopping, a day at the spa, the ice cream shops, great restaurants, or take a short trip to countless outdoor adventures. The wifi will let you stay plugged in, the 48' HD flat screen will let you catch the game, and a brand new deck and grill out back invite you to enjoy the beautiful climate at 4118 feet above sea level. Walk to Harris Lake, where you can feed the ducks (or geese, we don't discriminate) or do a little fishing.

This happy house is comfortable, casual and smack in the middle of all the Highlands action...everything you need for a wonderful escape to the mountains!

The parking was very easy to use. The garage gave easy access to the kitchen for bringing in supplies.The kitchen has the supplies that we needed. The refrigerator was clean.This is the 2nd time for us to rent this house. It has lots of sleeping and gathering space. Very comfortable.We will use it again!

We were close enough to walk to all the restaurants and the cute little downtown area and we were also very close to the wedding venue. The home itself was adorable. Home base during family wedding

We used the house as Home Base during a family wedding in Highlands and it was perfect.It is very convenient and just a short walk to Main Street and is located in a great neighborhood . The back deck is spacious so evenings were spent out there, a great spot for wine and conversation.Would definitely stay here again.
