This large historic home had enough rooms for our many family members to spread out, but also a nice communal dining space and outdoor firepit with chairs to come together. The hot tub was a huge hit and grill was a nice touch. It is located a very short drive to town. Had a wonderful stay, thank you!

we had a lovely time here with our family, in town for a family wedding. the 10pm noise curfew prevented us from enjoying the fire pit for longer periods but we just moved inside for laughter and games! Beautiful home full of local charm and roomy enough for everyone to have their own space of they wanted!

My extended family and I had a lovely stay at this property. Valerie was a pleasant, welcoming, and accommodating host. The house, finely restored with many period features, was an unforgettable (and feature-rich) backdrop for our visit to Saranac Lake. I hope to stay at this unique house again some time.

Very unique and homey feel to this house rental. Our family enjoyed all the rental had to offer which was accurately described. Valarie is a super host and our family (30 aged guests) loved the decor, pool room, board games, kaleidoscopes, and hot tub during record frigid temperatures. A wonderful experience was had by all.

Comfortable, well appointed central location

We visited Saranac lake to celebrate a milestone birthday! When we travel as a family we prefer to be in a homey setting as we like to eat some meals in, play games, build puzzles and read. All of these activities were easy to engaged in at the Adirondack Artist Retreat.

This property is amazing! Beautiful home. Love the various living spaces to be in. Excellent parking. Saw deer in the yard multiple times. Love the landscaping too. House is well stocked with kitchen items, (love the coffee station), modern appliances, lots of games and reading material and things to do throughout the house and of course in the area. Excellent host!! The welcome book is comprehensive and has a detailed history of the house. Excellent experience.

Amazing

Exquisite! The house has such a homey feel. The amount of artwork to look at was an added bonus. Watching deer walk through the woods while drinking coffee was an added bonus.

Big, unique property

Family get-together. Crowded house of kids/adults - but somehow still plenty of space and no shortage of things to do. Unique house. Sizeable property. Great area of town.

STUNNING home with so many thoughtful amenities. The host was warm and welcoming. Even on a cold weekend, the house was cozy warm. We hope to return!(To note, just in case it is an important element for your crew: the fire pit, understandably, may not be shoveled out if there has been significant snow fall the week prior. Still plenty to do with the pool table, games, hot-tub...and plenty of indoor fireplaces to enjoy.)

Perfect Family Gathering Place

We had a wonderful stay. The yard is very private, and the large parking area was great. The firepit was big enough for the ten of us to sit around with plenty of firewood provided. We also enjoyed the hot tub (nice touch with robes, towels, flip flops included) and playing cornhole. The house was very spacious. We especially liked the dining room where we could all be seated for family meals. The house is filled with amazing local artwork. We loved the collection of kaleidoscopes. Valerie, the host, was extremely warm and welcoming. We would highly recommend this property.

Excellent older large home for our large family reunion. Be aware that an older home comes with squeaky floors and hinges - part of the charm. Beautiful modern well-equipped kitchen - more pots, pans, silverware, etc. than anyone would ever need. Only problem was icemaker not producing. Also, no upstairs AC but fans provided - downstairs AC fully functional. Great setting within walk to downtown, nice property. Historic.
