For a Red Roof Inn in Jamaica, Queens, you can’t ask for more! Pretty secure parking, easy check-in, clean room and towels, and comfy bed! As long as you’re cool with a little bit of a sketchy neighborhood and thin walls, you’ll be fine. Everyone we encountered was super sweet and nice. Can’t beat it for a night or two!

Super easy to travel to the heart of manhattan and JFK from here. I can’t brag enough on the hotel overnight staff, Paul. He went out of his way for us during our stay.Would be better review but the walls are thin. Could hear TV in adjoining room all night.

Basic hotel, perfect for a quick trip

Friend and I stayed for 2 nights for a concert. The hotel is basic. Clean and basic amenities. As described so nothing to complain about. Check in was easy.Advertised as parking included. When we checked in the lot was full. There are only 8 spots for the entire hotel which was not ideal. The neighborhood isn’t great, so I did not feel comfortable parking on the street. We found a garage a few blocks over for 10 a night. I wish it was disclosed that parking is not guaranteed, as this was one of the main reasons we chose this booking.The hotel is very close to the subway and the Long Island rail road. This was super convenient as we were able to take the train into the city and to the concert. It is very close to the airport, so it would be perfect if you didn’t have a car.

This spot wasn’t bad for the price! Close to JFK, LIRR, and the subway in Jamaica queens. However, there were many things that caught us offguard and it’s not entirely the host’s fault as they’re a booking agent, so it’s more so the property.- The neighborhood is a bit sketch. When we got dropped off, our uber who lives in queens questioned why we stayed there as he told us it’s not safe at night with crime in the area.-The room isn’t clean or cleaned properly. The photo shows scratches on the walls. We found a leaf in the room. The sink had greasy stains and toothpaste still on it. The shower had orange liquid come out at initial rinse.- Because the host is a booking agent, I was bamboozled and had to work with them when the property still made me pay for my room despite pre-paying. It was eventually resolved and the host was helpful, but it was difficult to navigate with no onsite host.- we checked in early and there was a 50 early check in fee that wasn’t mentioned in the listing, only said subject to availability.-when we checked in, the battery of the lock of the first room was dead so we had to get another room.- we smelled smoke coming through the vents and the walls are thin where you can hear people playing music or shouting in other rooms.-the heater/ AC didn’t work and we had to call maintenance who didn’t know what was wrong and spent time figuring it out.-The free coffee was nice-proximity to airport was good-proximity to transportation was great
