About this property
COZY LUMBERJACK COTTAGE- Near Drummond Lake and ATV Trails. Canoe/kayak included
Escape to our rustic Lumberjack cottage, a cozy 2-bed, 1-bath retreat for 5. Modern comforts like A/C, Wi-Fi, and a full kitchen meet charming wood-paneled interiors.
Located one block from Drummond Lake and with access to Trail 63, it's an adventurer's paradise. Enjoy a private yard with a fire pit and bring your pet along! Perfect for couples or a small group seeking a comfortable base for outdoor exploration. Walk into the cottage, and the first word that comes to mind is "cozy".
Perhaps friends are camping nearby, and, like us, you prefer central heat/air conditioning, a comfortable bed, and being mosquito-free? After having your favorite beverage on the front porch rocking chair, you can go out to the back yard and build a fire in the fire pit. Afterward, spend your days fishing, kayaking, or canoeing on one of our many local lakes--we provide the canoe, kayak, trailer, paddles, and lifejackets--or relax on the sandy beach. You can also head out on one of our snowmobile, ATV, ski, bike, or hiking trails. We are a block from Trail 63.
This 2 bedroom, one bath can sleep 5 guests with all new memory foam mattresses.
Step into the Lumberjack cottage and feel the cozy, warm embrace of its rustic, wood-paneled interior. This is the perfect retreat for those who love the outdoors but prefer the comforts of a modern home. The cottage comfortably sleeps up to five guests.
Bedrooms & Sleeping Arrangements:
-Master Bedroom: King-sized new memory foam mattress and a smart TV.
-Second Bedroom: Queen-sized new memory foam mattress and a smart TV.
-Living Room: Queen-sized pull-out memory foam sofa.
Amenities & Comforts:
-Central air and heat for year-round comfort.
-A fully stocked kitchen with a dishwasher.
-A dedicated coffee bar featuring a drip coffee pot, Keurig, and grinder.
-Spacious living room with a 55” smart TV and a remote-controlled propane fireplace for chilly days.
-Work station
The cottage is decorated with a few period antiques that celebrate the early days of Drummond and the lives of the lumberjacks.
We've got you covered for your first morning's coffee with k-cups and hot chocolate.
Outside, you will find a deck, a Weber Q-2000 grill, and a fire-pit with plenty of firewood.
Again, the property includes a canoe and kayak, along with a small utility trailer to transport them to Drummond Lake, Lake Owen, or one of our other nearby lakes. We provide paddles and life jackets, and ask that you provide the tie-down straps and trailer hitch.
We get frequent requests for trailer parking. One trailer and two vehicles can park on the property. There is convenient community-provided trailer parking at the Trail 63 trailhead, a block away near the Drummond Lake Campgrounds and up the street on North. Please let us know so we can keep our neighbors happy.
We are pet lovers and are pet-friendly, but we do have a one-pet limit. We may make exceptions for smaller or non-shedding breeds. We are sorry, due to cat allergies, we do not allow cats.
Thanks for considering staying at the Lumberjack! Please drop us a note with any questions.

About the host
Hosted by Jeff Zeilenga
We absolutely love our Drummond short-term rental home and the local community, and have a 65 year history in the area and on Lake Owen. We split our time between Lake of the Ozarks and the Chequamegon National Forest.
Why they chose this property
The neighborhood is peaceful and friendly. We love staying here when our cabin is occupied and sitting on the rocking chairs or drinking wine by the fire pit. Drummond is a great community and there is plenty to do in Bayfield, Sawyer, and Douglas County. Stop in at KDs Bear Den for her Wednesday chicken dinner or have a burger and cheese curds. Visit the library or Drummond Historical Center
What makes this property unique
We are in the heart of everything! The first thing that everyone says is “clean” and “cozy”. Everything has been updated. Good parking for snowmobilers, ATV's and boats. We are centrally located to lakes, hiking/biking/ATV and snowmobile trails, Additional trailer parking at the 63 trailhead just down the road.
