Our children enjoy surfing and body boarding and Melkbaai is the perfect beach for doing that. We decided to buy the property because it is situated on the beach, but for all of us, it is also a place to wind down after a busy workweek. It is very central - close to Cape Town, as well as to Paarl, where we live. There is a big shopping mall nearby, with cinemas and restaurants. When the weather is bad, we can just watch the ocean, rest, or go shopping, or to the movies. A great place for a break away from the rat race.

For us, the greatest benefit is that it is so centrally situated. We love the view of the ocean, and the beach, which is on our doorstep. The building has ample security, and we can park our car next to our open patio, which makes it easy to access the flat with luggage and shopping. And for a South African, the 'braai' (barbecue) on our patio is a special benefit.
