We stayed here with our small dog and had a great vacation. Place was fully loaded with everything that we needed while we were away from home. It was located in such a convenient location where we could explore all around the island before returning here as our home base. Also lots of beautiful beaches/shores around the area for us to watch the sunset every night!
We did a short weekend trip here with our small dog. The grounds and trails are fantastic — very unique water front property. Peaceful, quiet, natural beauty. I wish we had more time there. The condo had plenty of space (it feels larger than the pictures suggest). Everything was very clean. Has a nice large patio with nature and water view. The patio is private but not fully enclosed— just an fyi in case you are traveling with a pet and want them to have outside time on the patio . It would have been nice to have that option but not a big deal at all. We would stay here again the next time we travel to Vancouver island.
Had a great time exploring the beach and swimming in the pool and hot tub. Short drive to Parksville, Coombs and all they have to offer. Great for kids!
John was super helpful and responded to any questions we had immediately.
We were delighted with our stay - the unit was spacious enough for our family of four to feel comfortable and the views of the creek from the back porch are beautiful. We were really impressed with the child pool / hot tub facility at the resort. Perfect for our 7 and 3 year old and we spent a lot of time there! We’d happily come back again as a family or without the kids to enjoy the large bathroom ourselves!

Liked: Check-in, communication, location
Disliked: Cleanliness
Place was not very clean. No attention given to outdoor space, patio furniture dirty. Beautiful weekend wanted to have dinner outdoors and enjoy the deck but dirty patio furniture, table for dining at looks like it has not been cleaned in months. Ants everywhere, which we know is a problem at this time of the year. Did bring this to owners attention and got a very smug reply. Went to front desk to let them know but they said they were not responsible. Found dirty dishes in cupboards. Did not come to celebrate my 30th anniversary cleaning someone else's property. Owner is aware and will talk to his cleaners. Very disappointed. Have stayed at Pacific Shores 3 times before and had a great time. Will not be a repeat customer at this unit. Will book direct with Pacific Shores in the future.
Thank you John and Tracy for ensuring we had a pleasant stay at Heron's Landing. The unit was spacious, clean and comfortable. The kitchen was well-appointed and stocked with more supplies than we expected, which we appreciated. The condo grounds were well maintained. There was a lovely view of the bay from the covered patio. You were very attentive and made check-in and check-out very easy, providing details about Heron's Landing in clear email format. We enjoyed our stay.
