Awesome place to stay ….Owners are very accommodating and are very very nice. Wife loved the trail ride even in the rain and we loved the home made ice cream that the owners make right on the premises…it’s amazing. Walking trails are nice right from the cabin. Cabin is a very nice place to stay, very clean and the view is amazing. We loved it and are definitely planning on going back.
Nice rural place to get away and relax. Loved the pond as well as the walking trails. Sitting out on the cabin deck listening to the wildlife and farm animals was nice. Definitely recommend.
The hospitality was beyong exceptional! The cabin was more than expected. The homemade icecream up at the barn, is a must have. You will not be disappointed! The kids loved playing in the woods and seeing the animals! We would definitely recommend and stay again.
Check-in was easy. Cabin was clean, the beds were a bit small but comfortable. The owner provided plenty of wood for one night too. They had a pond with kayaks and a canoe. But the best part was the fresh made ice cream. If I had to pick a downside it would be that the cabin needs more coffee mugs.
We came into Troy for the Maple Festival. This is our second time staying here. My kids love the pond and property! We were hoping to explore and do hiking this time but the rain kept us inside. We do bring some folding chairs as the seating is limited if your stuck inside. Ashley is AWESOME and very accomidating. It is like staying at a families cabin. Love it here. thank you
We loved our stay here! The cabin provided a cozy retreat, while the setting was so calm and quiet in the woods by a pond. Ashley was such a great host. My kids are already asking when we can go back!
We only stayed for one night but the hosts were super nice and made us feel at home. The house is separate from the main farm so you have your own privacy and space. Would always recommend!
We love the idea of farm life so when we drove up and saw the cottage was run by a working horse farm we were excited. We were there for just a short overnight stay but we did get to walk some trails and hang out at the farm and feed horses for a short time. The area is very quiet and serene.. Hostess was very friendly and accommodating.
Me and my family stayed here for a weekend while being vendors at the near by Maple Festival. It was slightly difficult to locate at first however the owners were quick to answer our call and got us right to the cabin. The pond was much bigger than expected and my boys loved fishing in it. It was peaceful. The only thing we were disappointed with was that it needed a good cleaning and the kitchen plates and pans are in need of replacement. Lovely people and cabin, i do highly recommend.
It was such a peaceful and relaxing getaway from the city. Ashley is a wonderful host. She and her dad made sure we were comfortable throughout the stay. She was also so good with the kids. The cabin is beautiful and the best place to enjoy nature.
My girlfriend and I spent this past weekend at this rental. Beautiful cabin in a discrete location with lots of scenery. The cabin is fantastic. Clean, very accommodating and is a great getaway. The property owners are very nice and a great resource for anyone who is from out of town/state. Our cell phone service provided 4g (verizon) and the heat kept us very very warm during our wintery stay
What a perfect peaceful cabin-in-the-woods!.. special touches, like the homemade sweet bread, were so thoughtful. Plenty of space for our large group of 10. Children had a blast in the 1 of 2 lofts. The only issue we had was nobody wanted to leave!
We loved the simplicity of staying in a rustic cabin away from home. We were glad that we had cell phone service where we could stay connected to family members.
Cute, cozy cabin in the woods with all the amenities you need. The cabin is surrounded by hiking trails which we loved exploring, especially in September, as the leaves were starting to change, the weather was cool, and the area was surrounded by beautiful fields of goldenrods. There's also a hammock and firepit which we didn't have time to take advantage of during this visit, unfortunately, but they looked lovely. The cabin is located on a horse farm (I actually loved riding here as a kid), and the cabin itself has cool loft-style sleeping arrangements that kids would love, so I think this would be a fabulous place for families too. Note: no wifi in the cabin, and I didn't have phone service the entire time, though my husband did and it seems most people have service here. It was actually really nice to completely unplug, but just know that you probably won't be able to work from the cabin if you'd require internet. Would definitely recommend and hope to return!
We booked the cabin for an anniversary getaway. It was perfect. Spotless cabin in an amazing setting. Every family member we met on the farm was extremely helpful and personable. We took a wagon ride around the farm, and Ashley and Josh were great, showing us all the best spots and where to see the best sunsets. We definitely look forward to coming back in the future!
It was an outstanding experience, I don't even know where to start. The cabin itself was pristine and the grounds were gorgeous. I'm not sure if those flowers out front were planted or not but they were stunning. Thank you for creating such a warm place for us and for being so kind and welcoming. It would be a pleasure to come back in the future!
It was a great calm stay, you'd think your deep entrenched in the forest but your actually close to the road. They were very helpful with everything and made me the best bread I've ever had
This cabin was perfect, on top of that it was located on a Horse Farm, and my children were in heaven staying here! The cabin was secluded and we felt there was lots of privacy, but we were also close enough to the farm to enjoy lots of activity with the animals! We will visit again! Thank you Fairview Farms for having us ❤️
We had a wonderful time. Restaurants and stores are only 15 minutes away. We watched the sunrise, listened to the birds and frogs and sat around the campfire. The inside of the cabin was decorated so cute. We will be back.
